Source: Washington Post I'd love to see the Lakers acquire Nick Young. He's been lost in the shuffle with the logjam of backcourt players in Washington, but he's the ideal size (6'6), athleticism and talent to thrive under PJax and Kobe. He's originally from LA and played ball at USC under Tim Floyd who also teaches the Triangle offense. He does well in a structured offense and has shown flashes of what he's capable of becoming. Best know for this dunk he put on Lebron.
I wouldn't mind him either, but who would we have to give up? I'd give them Farmar in a heart beat. Would you guys be willing to swap Shannon Brown for Nick Young?
I wouldn't deal Shannon Brown for him, I'd rather he inherit the future PG position. I think Josh Powell would be useful for them and our 1st round pick.
We don't have our 1st round pick though, we dealt it to Memphis. We do have the Grizzlies 2nd rounder, if that accounts for anything. I would love to somehow get Nick Young and Javaris Crittenton on this team.
I don't want to give up Shannon. The guy is a beast on D and he fits here. He's developing his outside shot (saw a little in the playoffs where he was also a spark off the bench) and his athleticism is amazing.
I'd be willing to give 'em Farmar and that pick, or maybe Powell and that pick. Nick Young is a good player.
Powell doesn't really have value, don't know why they would want him. I guess it would just be a contract thing.
They don't have a lot of size on their team and Powell has a good rebounding rate. Plus he has that mid-range game to play pick & roll with any of the guards. We could offer our 2011 pick or Memphis 2nd round pick next season. How about Vujacic or pUke?
I'd offer Sasha then, since Luke's body of work is better. Luke came to play against Denver and Orlando in the playoffs. :O
You still haven't learned after three years? Mitch should package Farmar/Morrison's expirings during the deadline, maybe include a pick for something good.
