Kobe Bryant scored 50+ points against them last month with 55+ % shooting. The Lakers lost. Kobe needs 50 point games night and in and out for this team to have a fighting chance, and even then I take Shawn Marion, Steve Nash, and Boris Diaw over Kobe in terms of a superstar matchupIf you actually think the Lakers can win, yuo need to do some research on recent playoff matchups

I would say 55 is more realistic.</div>Dude, that's pretty much what their record was this year. They had a lot of problems that hurt their record this year. Take away a couple and we would have a little over 60 wins. Even if Amare didn't come back we'd be better by a couple games because they started playing like <Censored> after that first game for like 4 games.
True but no low post prescence is part of why they are so inconsistent. I think it has to do more with the shooters being in the slump and their defense wasn't that good.
Their FG% against was better than the Mavs before the KT injury... Kurt Thomas was a good post prescence and it shows how important he was because they have given up 8 more PPG without him and have a 5% worse FG% against. The Suns dfense was actually pretty good this year. You can't go by how many PPG they allow because the other team gets many more possesions than against other teams. The Suns have been one of the most unlucky teams this year. When healthy and without Amare they are easily a 60+ win team. They started off the season slow because they had mostly all new players. They were horrible at the start, they had no chemistry and D'Antoni was experimenting with line-ups. We had injuries, the Amare distraction and also they had no motivation to win since that <Censored>-whooping over the Clippers a little bit after the all-star break because they had the Pacific Division pretty much all wrapped up. I had one other reason that I posted before but I forgot.
They maybe play like a 60 win team but they weren't on the pace of winning 60 games. There is a big difference between winning 55 games and winning 60 games.
Dude, they won 54 games. If they had something to play for like the Mavs and Amare never came back they would have had at least 60 wins. They started off slow because almost all of the team was new. They are a 60+ win team. Their defense was much improved though since last season.
They weren't threatened because of all the things that happened to the Suns. You aren't getitng what I'm trying to say. If they had something to play for and the Mavs had a huge lead on the Spurs in that division(saying that the Spurs weren't that good if it happened) then their records would be very similar.I think this team is better than their record and it is just not right that people think that the Lakers will have any chance. They have had so many things happen this season and they have kept winning. They are a contender and I hope they prove it in the playoffs. Oh I really wish Kurt Thomas would come back sooner. The Suns are just being disrespected right now I think. They have a very good team.
And I'm telling you they aren't going to get to 60 though they would've been closer than now. They would have to win like 85% of the games in the last month or so to get to 60 wins.
They would have been able to. Barbosa got injured for 2 weeks and then got injured again for 2 weeks right when he was playing like an all-star and helping out this team a lot. We had a lot of injuries so that we had to use 7 players for a while and Pat Burke being one of them. Kurt Thomas' injury destroyed this team. For a long time bad teams were taking advantage of his abscense and only lately the Suns have started playing better without him. And how are you supposed the have the motivation to win if you know you'll have the 2nd seed with over 30 games left? And Amare coming back itself cost us two games at least.

The Lakers are going to get owned. A passing game beats a selfish game any day of the week. That's why the suns are so effective on offense. Passing beats one on one.
I really hope the Lakers win this series. It would just add on to Kobe's great season, and there is just something about the Lakers I like.
