Why are there stars next to certain threads? Never seen this before. Does that mean that a certain Jerkoff hasn't posted in it and it is safe?
Its the rating of the thread dude, anyone can do it. The top of the thread on the right it says "Rating:"
A one star thread usually isn't a good thing. For example, OdenIsGod's threads usually got a one-star rating.
It rates the intelligence of the poster who started that thread. 5 stars indicate Einstein level intelligence, while 1 star represents "Mixum."
It was 3 stars so I just rated it terrible to get rid of the stars. It's still 3 stars. Some votes count more than others. Where is the explanation for all the icons on the left margin? Like whether it's a hot thread with recent posts. What I'd like is an indicator for whether any more posts have appeared for threads I have posted in, so I can check, because I forget which threads I posted in.
There are no jerkoffs. Only snoflakes. Each with their own unique individual beauty. Why do you hate snow angels?
Alright, I just drop this thread to 2 stars! If the thread is bold either you haven't read it or someone has posted in it since you read it last. You may have to refresh to see though. If there is a check mark in the folder icon before the thread you have posted in that thread. I guess it's a envelope not a folder.
I should have added that I tried to downrate the stars not because I think it's a bad thread, but just to experiment. Thanks, mgb, I've noticed the boldface. But when I return the next day, or at lease get out of the site and return later without turning off the computer, the boldface is gone and I'm starting anew. I wish I could come back the next day and be reminded of which threads I posted in which now have new posts. Like this one--I'm answering you only because the thread was still on the front page, which reminded me to check for responses. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have answered you. (It's after a game and this thread is still on the front page? Oh yeah, we lost and it's Halloween, so everyone got drunk or hanged himself.) And I have no checkmarks showing in any envelopes on the left side. I see the envelopes (what do the colors mean or am I just stoned?) but no checkmarks. (Seriously--I'm not under the influence.) (But I reserve the right to do so.)
