He is a horse, doesn't need plays called for him to be effective and he understands the little things that help teams win. I'm not sure there's anyone better in the league at taking a charge.

I only worry if Nate would play him or if it would not fit with the starting 5 that won us games last year. Well, only 30 games last year. Greg in the starting 5 won 24 games.

A Wallace/Felton package is enticing. With Felton likely to bolt this summer he could be attainable. Talk about killing two birds with one stone.

personally I'd rather have LaBron. Okay getting Wallace isn't quite as wildly outside of the world of possibilities, but who do you want to give up that would entice Charlotte to part with a core piece of their franchise?

I'll also note that his main value seems to be as an athlete. He is not without skills, but the way this guy gets it done at such a high level is stronger faster higher with a tremendous amount of hustle. All of those are great traits, but they don't usually increase after the age of 24 or so but IR time from playing a hard reckless style seem to.

Wallace is 28 this year and is under contract for 2 more years past this season.

ehh, he seems to be a low-IQ megathlete. I like those types of guys to some extent, but I think we could use some more vet saavy, a guy who can pass, a guy who moves around without the ball, and can make open jumpers.

While Wallace is good on D, he is a roamer, and he isn't great at fundamental D and sticking in zones.

I personally would much rather have Diaw from Charlotte, even though he's the inferior player. If we could trade Outlaw/Bayless for Diaw I think you'd have to do it, as he'd help our team IQ and passing tremendously, even though he's overpaid.

The other guy I'd consider going after is Tayshaun Prince, as he's a very fundamental player, great passer, and (like Diaw) can play 3/4.

They're both lesser athletes than Wallace, but better fits (especially next to Roy/Aldridge/Oden)

    Miller/Blake
    Roy/Fernandez
    Webster/(Diaw/Prince)/Cunningham
    Aldridge/(Diaw/Prince)/Howard
    Oden/Pryzbilla

I like that nine man rotation a lot (with Cunningham and Howard in spot minutes or foul situations). A lot of saavy players. I really think just losing Outlaw would help a lot with spacing, defensive mistakes in a zone especially, and shot selection.

Its too bad that Larry Brown realizes how important Wallace is. With Brown essentially being the GM for the Bobcats I don't see any way that he's going anywhere. The guy is all over the place, taking charges, going for loose balls, always in the mix for a rebound and plays insane minutes. How nice would it be to have a SF that average 12 rebounds a game, double digit scoring and doesn't need plays called for him to be effective (not a predictable player).

I think somewhere along the line Pritchard missed the boat on Wallace. I know he was available at some point. But Pritchard was reluctant to let go of one of his boys.

He would be perfect! Unfortunatly, if we did land him, most of these fools on would bitch about him not having a consistent outside shot.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
He would certainly be perfect now, as a guy who could play both the 3 and 4.
