Kobe is not a playmaker like Lebron is. Kobe lets other people take control but he is not setting up for other players. So far Round 1 Lebron has owned Kobe. This is against the defenseless suns as well.
Our only "flaw" in a below average defense inside since KT is gone but Timt Thomas did a pretty nice job today. He really put a lot of effort into his defense down there.

I told you mavsfan, kobe cannot be contained. He was missing shots he'd normally make, that isn't containing. Go back to that thread and read it.
Raja was all over Kobe for most the game. Kobe couldn't get any space from the quick Raja. The suns interior defense is weak so pretty much anyone that drives is unstoppable against the suns.
KT had an MRI yesturday for those of you that didn't hear. He'll be out for 4 more weeks. :no1: Please get better, we neeeeeed you....
One thing has to be said. Were in this series. We abused you're interior game, we just didn't excute in the clutch. Kobe didn't get into a one on one battle with raja which was nice
Smush can't stop Nash and on the other side can't abuse Nash's defense. That will be the difference in this series.
Yeah, well congrats on keeping it close. Just don't expect the Suns to score less than 20 in 2 quarters again.

Kobe was bad, but Odom had a surprising game. Marion wasn't as good as usual but TT picked up his game to help out. They cancel out. Marion will be better, Kobe will be better, the Suns will not score under 20 points in 2 quarters again.
Add the fact that the Lakers can't stop the suns offense even though they looked very sharp on defense. The suns offense is unstoppable.

Lakers did a great job, they just have to make sure next game that they don't let the Suns explode in the 1st quarter again. Kobe will never have that bad of a game again.
That was one of the first games that KT was injured. The started playing bad without him at the beggining, really bad. But the offense is the best in the league, it's probably better than last years' right now. They might be stopped in a game or 2 against the top defenses in the league but not by the Lakers. The Suns also destroyed the Grizzlies defense in a game. The defense that give up 88 PPG.

They were more well rounded offensively last year. This year they ar ebetter defensively, but not good enough with no good low post presense (as Odom exposed tonight). And once again, they are stoppable. You just gotta not double Nash when he pentrates, and not allow those open shots. Yes, they will still probably get to 100, but because of their terrible defense, they will give you a very good chance to beat them.
