Just wondering what you guys think. I really hope we do something to bolster our PG spot, or just add some more depth before the deadline. Morrison and Farmar totals around 7 million in expirings, we can also add in some picks to sweeten up the deal. I think that's our most attractive package, and with the current economy, I'm sure it'll land us something of value. Just depends if Jerry wants to spend some more or not.
Nah don't know, a lot of teams dislike us. We desperately need more backcourt depth. Fish could break down at any moment and then we're down to just Shannon/Kobe. Bryant should probably rest more this season so we shouldn't be wasting his time.
Uh, too early to tell. I'm leaning towards yes. I think Farmar is on his way out, especially if Brown keeps it up.
I'd be surprised if the Lakers didn't find some way to unload Morrison before the trade deadline. I don't expect to get much in return, but maybe they could acquire a 2nd rounder or a veteran player for the post season.
exactly... you know mitch... he's constantly looking to improve this team... just like the vlad for brown/ammo trade... evreryone thought it was just to save money... id really like hinrich or ford please... Vujacic + Ammo will work for Hinrich , but that wouldnt send farmar out though... http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine
^ hahaha what do you think? but you'd have to agree that it looks like a more even deal than the Kwame + J Critt plus picks for Pau Gasol doesn;t it?
I think Minnesota would be an ideal trading partner for us. Kurt Rambis is trying to teach the Triangle offense and what better player to help him out in practice and on the court than Luke Walton?
there's no way Luke gets traded. who is a decent backup PG/SG in the league? or who is a veteran player with playoff experience? perhaps both? well, we do have fisher who fits both those categories but like huevon said, he could go down any day now, plus he is much less productive. a few point guards that come to mind are: nate robinson, raymond felton, earl watson, beno udrich. imo any of thee guys would be an improvement over farmar, all of them averged over 5 assists per game last season, they're all still young, and also have other upsides besides passing ability. ammo+farmar+pick could perhaps nab us one of these guys...
You know what's crazy is the Grizzlies actually wanted Sun Yue originally and not Marc Gasol. Tayshaun Prince is on the block. I'd love to add him to the roster, but not very likely with the limited trade assets we have.
