Brandon Roy has shot 42 free throws through 3 games already. This has to be a good thing for the future of our team. Plus, he's made 39 of them. Just looking for some positive signs that we'll be okay.
This is actually a positive in a big way. Looks like Roy's infamous "They can't touch me anymore...I'm like LeBron and Wade if a defender touches me I'm going to the line." statement has finally been forgiven. I haven't seen FTA's that high since his 52 point game and the week or two before that. After his statement his attempts withered away like a Steve Blake crunchtime Free Throw.
Speaking of Steve Blake, I think I'd like to see Bayless get some time to see what he can do alongside Roy. Blake has been dreadful thus far.
I also like that Brandon is getting to the line, but at the same time, I wonder if the team is a little better when he doesn't score as much? Sorta like what K*be had to learn.......TRUST YOUR TEAMMATES
Brandon is trusting his teammates. It's just that in the 4th quarter when Outlaw is 1/7 and Rudy hasn't hit a shot since the second, who else is going to make a shot? Most of Roy's points come in the 4th quarter because he IS deferring to his teammates. By the time he gets it going, it's already too late.
