The Suns look like they have a steal in Channing.

Going into the 4th quarter Channing has 24 pts on 6-9 from three, 8-11 overall.

Quite the contrast to the Portland version of Channing. Gotta love that McMillan system.

    He's as good as Bargnani.

Even some Blazer players, themselves, said that Juwan Howard was an upgrade over Channing.

    You do the math.

They are clones of each other. Bigs who can only do one thing: shoot.

    I question their judgment.

The bottom line: Hate Channing, love the game. ;)

On quite another note, you sure picked it regarding the 9'ers and Cards. Although, Arizona did lose one they should have won today.

Did you expect them to say they'd rather have Frye over Howard after Howard was signed?

I'm really happy for him. He was nothing but professional during his tenure here and couldn't be more charismatic. It couldn't happen to a better guy IMO.

It's a shame his game didn't fit well here.

Get over it. Be happy for Channing that he's in a run and gun system. He's having fun and we're better off without him.

It was evident Channing was a quality player that can do great things on the court. Nate, as usual, played him very poorly and brought out the worst in him as it does other reserves.

    +1.

Good for Channing. I was a fan of him before, I still am, and yet - it did not work here. Glad it works for him elsewhere.

Channing sucks. I don't care what his stats were today. He folds when he is under pressure.

No, in those cases, you say nothing at all.

He doesn't defend or do anything well other than shoot with his feet set. I don't think that many teams can rely on their center doing that and ONLY that... and given his demonstrated inability to shoot well from the perimeter over time, we'll see how much he contributes when he stops shooting so well.

Perfect 3 games for him so far. It'll be interesting to see if he can keep making these shots. Although there have been a lot of players on Nash teams who have shot great so maybe he will.

Good fit for them, bad fit for us. I'm fine with it.

Channing is a rhythm player, and he's now in a system that fits his style of play almost to a 'T'. He gets to hang out on the wing and play a Tim Thomas role.

I'm happy for Channing that he found a home -- great guy, bad fit for the Blazers' style of play, best of luck to him and I hope he comes back to Portland and takes over for Mike Rice as a color commentator when his playing days are over.

I think that generally, this board has come to a consensus on Frye:

    We're happy he's doing well.

We knew he didn't fit in here with what we needed from him.

He was a great guy and we wish him the best.

Are we going to see a thread anytime he has a good game?

That's the beauty of a creative offense, it takes the pressure off.
