Two games in and Derek Fisher's age is already showing up for the Lakers. He's struggling on defense again and he's been atrocious shooting the basketball.

Currently Shannon Brown is shooting 71.4% from the field vs. Fisher 23.5%

Fisher is missing wide open looks and has only connected on 25% of his 3 point attempts. He's also averaging 2.5 turnovers (a career high) early on.

Shannon is only averaging 15 MPG with Fisher logging 31 MPG. Even Farmar is playing more than Shannon right now with 17 MPG despite only shooting 33% from the field.

What is up with Fisher since the tail end of last season...all of a sudden he think shooting 20 footers before one pass is even made is okay....wtf?!?

    lol he's been chucking forever

Besides Kobe our guards are weak. Shannon Brown is the only bright spot. He should be the first guard off the bench, honestly wouldn't mind if he averaged 25-30 mpg given how weak we are. Fish has been terrible to start the season, Farmar sucks like always, and Sasha is Sasha.

Fisher has always chucked like that, he was atrocious in that manner for the first three playoff series.

This team badly needs another guard. Farm/Sasha blow.

When we don't start Shannon we might have the worst starting PG in the league. Certainly up there.

I think Fish takes good charges but he can't defend much anymore. That's what I love about SB3, his defensive intensity.

If the Spurs can get away with starting Bonner/Finley I guess we can live with Fish, especially when he's playing with Kobe/Ron/Pau/Drew.

Fisher was off again last night 0-3 from 3 point range.

Brown was 1-1 on his only shot attempt which was a 3 pointer off the dribble in transition right in Bibby's face.

Hawks rooke Jeff Teague abused Jordan Farmar last night.

This won't happen before Fisher retires, or what do you think? My take is that Phil won't bench Fisher no matter how he plays, it's just how things are.

I don't have a problem with Fisher starting, but I don't understand why PJax is playing him so many minutes. Last night Fisher played 30 minutes, Farmar 14 minutes, and Brown only had 8 minutes on the court.

I'd prefer Fisher playing closer to 20 minutes and no more than 25 minutes (if his jumper is falling) and give Brown 10 more minutes on the court.

My ideal rotation for the PGs would be:

    Fisher 22 MPG
    Farmar 11 MPG
    Brown 15 MPG

Phil doesn't always have the best sense of time in his rotations.

Took Ariza forever to overcome Luke last year, this seems like a repeat of that.

Maybe Farmar/Sasha can fight for the other backcourt minutes?

I think Shannon needs 30 minutes a night maybe, upper 20's at least.

This. I dont care who starts, but Brown should be getting more minutes and Fisher should not be playing 30 MPG

I'm fine with Fisher starting actually, I'd rather just see Shannon get the bulk of the minutes. I hate how Farmar is still the 1st off the bench.

While agree with the conclusion, you cannot use PER to justify anything after 3 games.

But in the end the Ariza-thing payed off big time. I doubt Phil hasn't seen Shannon's potential, he's a mindmaster ;D never know what's he up to

I agree with the guys saying that Shannon should be playing more minutes. Fisher has really been degrading, and unless he personally tells PJ to bench him, he'lll stay a starter/
