Wow. 24 pts; 20 reb; 4 stl. Not bad for a small forward. http://www.nba.com/games/20091102/NJNCHA/boxscore.html I know several here would like to see him in our lineup.
Can't we just start about 3 stickies up top. One for Gerald Wallace, one for Channing Frye, one for Z-Bo. Then, the people to care to read what they did the night before can go there.
Or you could just practice self restraint and not read or respond to the thread. I'm a small government guy, so I prefer self discipline over rules and regulations for those without self disclipline.
I'll never get over KP rejecting Charlotte's deal of Wallace for three used duffel bags at the trade deadline last year.
Don't bother us with details! Some posters wanted to get Crash for nothing, so surely it could have been done. KP screwed it up.
He shot 13 FTs, which is very important to me. It shows he was probably slashing and attacking a lot, instead of jacking up jumpers. We could use that attacking mentality on this team.
History says otherwise. These are a few games on a bad team The guy is a a career .476 shooter who doesn't really need plays ran for him in order to be effective. You will also note, that it shows how effective of a scorer a player can be if they get to the free throw line. The difference between mediocre scorers and high end scorers are that the high end scorers get to the line every game, so even if they are having a bad game shooting wise, they put up points on the board. Wallace is that type of player.
I have seen no evidence of Nate McMillan wanting easy points. It seems he would rather have his team rely on perimeter shots than easy fast break points or giving it to the big man down low for some easy dunks.
Well I guess that explains why Travis Outlaw is on the team. I mean, why take an open layin or open jumper when you can take a jab step one dribble fade away jumper after the defense has already recovered to guard you.
If Nate felt that strongly about getting Oden the ball, he wouldn't play Blake at all. I've never seen a point guard so adverse to passing into the post. Blake's job description: 1. Bring the ball up the court (unless Brandon wants to) 2. Hand the ball off to Brandon. 3. Scramble over to my spot behind the three point line in the corner. 4. Pretend I'm Steve Kerr while I wait patiently for the ball.
This is absurd and completely ignores the facts. Steve Kerr's career AST% is 15, with 3 years in his career when he was over 20. Steve Blake's career AST% is 25.9 - and this year, his worst in Portland, is 23.9 (which is higher than any year Kerr played) In 7 years (+ 4 games in his 8th) in the league, Blake has dished more assists than Kerr did in 15 years. Blake is far from an elite PG - but he is clearly an NBA point-guard. Kerr was a shooter that was playing backup PG because he was such a great shooter. Very different players.
heard it on the way to work this morning on the MSP.. said Quick had reported it. I have no proof though. Just what I heard them say.
