Kelly Dwyer, uncharacteristically, is gushing over Kobe's performance yesterday. It was damn impressive, I have to say. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...rs-and-Rox-l?urn=nba,200338#remaining-content I wonder if Kobe had an extra pep in his step on those post ups with Hakeem in the house.
One thing I took away from this game I feel better about is Bynum's improvement in defending the pick and roll.
Lakers did a great job defending the pick and roll against Brooks. It will be interesting to see what adjustments the Rockets make for the next game.
the only problem with the Lakers defense of the pick and roll last night, was that it left them wide open to offensive rebounds.
I think it was just bad fundamentals and not boxing out which resulted in Houston getting all those offensive rebounds. We've always had poor second level rotations and Odom is usually the culprit.
Bynum showed he can defend the pick and roll, but the team still needs to work on it. Too many times nobody rotated over to Bynum's man. Hopefully, Kobe's figured a way to dominate Battier efficiently. I thought he was too ball dominant last night, but it resulted in a W so I'm good.
