If nets can get past Indy, they will role past Miami, and I think we have best shot in East to beat Pistons. We did it 2x this year, and we were only team 2 years back that brought Pistons to 7 games.
Vince is taking way too many shots but thankfully Collins has done an excellent job on O'Neal so the Nets are right in this. They need to look to Jefferson a bit more I think.
Man, Kidd has alot of trouble hitting that mid-range shot. He would have missed that layup if Carter hadnt gotten that put-back dunk.
If I'm the Nets, I'm actually happy. We had a solid chance, and Vince and RJ played horribly. If those guys even played a bit better, it would have been over 5 minutes ago
The big complaint we had this off-season was about our big man but Collins and Krstic were the only ones who showed up.Sad that we had to be waken up like this.
That was a bullsh*t call at the end with that foul. Bottom line is that ain't gonan happen again from VC and RJ.
Poor Vince Carter... yesterday he said he wanted the ball more down the stretch. Today, he got is wish and got the ball throughout the entire game, and tried to beat the Pacers by himself... bad decision. All the pressure is on the Nets... it would be absolutely pathetic if the Pacers won game two as well...
The key to this win for the Pacers is that JO really got in the flow of the game in the 4th, and Indy's defense was great against Carter.
I wouldnt be to down if I was the Nets. Kidd didnt have a great game. Carter had a horrible game shooting. RJ did ok Idk what you guys are complaning about. Krstic had a huge game. They played better then they are. You could hold me to this Jackson will not have another game like this. He was lights out in the first half. Anthony Johnson did better then he is. JO would have had solid numbers if he didnt get in foul trouble. Peja is going to be like this all series I think because Jefferson is a solid defender. I wouldnt credit the bad shooting of Carter to the defense that much though. Carter was settling for long shots when he should be driving in on the defense. He did a couple times but not to much.
Im not going to sit here and complain about that call whether it was a foul or not. The fact is it shouldnt have come down to that and the way we played we were lucky to be in that position where we had a chance to win the game. Carter was absolutely disgusting yesterday, taking 33 shots and not getting teammattes involved..Kidd was virtually non-existant and should be the main man in the playoffs running the show..RJ did ok, but we need him to continue to attack the basket..My biggest beef with this game was us ignoring Krstic in the post. Every time he got an oppurtunity in the low post to make a move, he converted and had some very nice buckets..However, instead of continuing to feed him the ball when he was succesfull, we went away from it, not giving him enough touches..I want to see the ball in the hands of Kidd and for the post game with Krstic to be focused on. I want VC and RJ to attack the basket and I want Vince to cut down on his outside shots (1-9 from three)..With all that went wrong this game, we still had a shot to win the game which is very encouraging if you ask me..I expect us to bounce back Tuesday and take care of bussiness..Another reason why Im not too worried is that the Nets are 3-12 in game one scenarios in post season play in the Kidd-Era..
Yeah last time we played them we lost game 1 too and we won the series. I see the same thing happining :nasty:

Nice to see competitive basketball.</div>No, we did not get robbed, we played like <Censored>..Should it have been a foul? Probably not, I wasnt happy about it, but like I said we got ourselves in that position and we should have taken care of bussiness prior to that moment to keep us out of that situation..We played bad and thats what it came down to, a tough break, but not something you can point the finger at as a reason to lose a game..
i don't see how you can make that kind of call on the home team in the last few seconds of a playoff game, but the nets should have been way ahead at that point. they wasted a good game from krstic. carter took way too many bad shots and RJ needs the ball more.
^I agree. RJ didn't get enough touches.Vince Carter tried to win the game on his own. You cant play that way against the Pacers.
RJ didnt get enough touches like you guys have said, but although stat-wide Krstic had a good game, I dont think they took advantage of him enough. He gets us easy low post, high percentage shots and has some excelent post moves down low. I think we need to feed him the ball more, put the ball in the hands of Kidd, and have Carter and RJ attack the rim..
Ill rephrase all this. You guys lost because Carter was a dumbass and kept on jacking shots he could not make.Good luck with that douche. You'll see how it feels like when he hits the floor and than complains about knee problems
