It certainly wasn't a flawless performance, but I thought he did a pretty nice job trying to fit in when he hasn't really been on the floor late in games, because Nate has favored Blake in the final 5 or 6 minutes. I was just happy that he seemed to settle in (mostly) and showed that Roy and he can in fact be productive when they are both on the court.

Bottom line: The Spurs are still a helluva team when it comes to playing half-court defense and you have to give them some credit for making all of the team's points harder to come by once the first quarter was over.

You might be right, however, I saw a tenacity tonight that gave me great hope no matter who we play on a given night. We withstood an onslaught of focused defense and offense from the spurs. The Blazers responded with defense and offense of their own.

My biggest fear, after the loss to the Hawks, was Nate losing the team. Tonight brought evidence that is not the case. This team will be something special... even Hubie was impressed, and he is not easily impressed.

    Go Blazers!

we still need a new coach...wins just gloss over/cover up. Food for thought.....SA is an ancient team playing a 2nd of a back to back....and we have a lot of rest. Just a reminder.

Sure, I have to hand it to them tonight. I still dislike the lineup. Remember, Parker didn't even play the second half.

Hubie kinda....never really knows what he's talking about.

Good to get a win. But again, just a terribly frustrating game. The fourth quarter execution was horrible. The blazer should have beaten the spurs by more but it was their offensive execution and the lack of it that kept the spurs in the game. LaMarshmallow Aldridge, how do you let a small forward, Richard Jefferson PUSH YOUR ASS AROUND??? God damn, that was frustrating. I hate to tell you this LMA YOU ARE SOFT!!! Get it?? SOFT!!! Don't like it, get your ass in there and do something about it god damn it. It's bs. You were a non factor and your submissiveness almost lost this game for your team. Total and utter bs.

All in all, good win. But this team is not out of the woods. No where close.

The tone shift there was amusing. "GOD DAMN IT, THAT WAS TOTAL BS. I couldn't take the frustration!!! Anyway, good game."

Okay, you're right. You know more than Hubie Brown. I can't argue with your indepth analysis anymore. I wandered into the deep end and I'm drowning. You win.

He frustrates me almost as bad as Sheed frustrated me. Neither one of these guys are "Power Forwards".

Would you prefer the label "awesome forward" for those guys? Get that pesky word "power" out of there and all.

Do you love Hubie that much? Guys here criticize everyone, Quick, Canzano, Nate, Hollinger, JVG, Barkley, etc. Someone thinks Hubie is a bad announcer and you jump to his rescue. Loyal one aren't you?

You didn't say he was a bad announcer. You said he didn't know what he was talking about.

And considering how stupid I view most of the stuff you write, including that, I found it pretty amusing...

To answer your question though, yeah, I think Hubie is probably the best color guy out there, him and Doug Collins. He sure beats the shit out of guys like Reggie Miller.

Looks like the good ju-ju thread did it's job tonight. Blazers played solid from top to bottom!

And I still don't think he does.

Feel free to ignore me. :)

Good for you. I think he stinks. Differing opinions, eh?

Sounds like Miller called a majority of the plays tonight. Very interesting that McMillan was able to realize his flaws and give Andre the reigns.
