I dunno. We have to travel to AZ and play OSU. Those are going to be 2 tough games.

Look, I'm a big OSU fan and I think it's going to be deadly playing at Autzen this year. Our D is always really aggressive and that spells trouble against a spread/option offense.

We'll see, though, our O is starting to pick it up a bit the last 3 weeks.

I never underestimate any team in the civil war. Also, Riley is, IMHO, the best coach in the PAC-10.

Wheels if it makes you feel better, I sat down and watched the game this after noon and my DVR stop recording with 2 minutes left! Our ducks will be just fine! Rose Bowl here we come!

oh yeah I hear ya totally.. National Championship was never really an option with Boise St and other schools ahead of us. Bummer letdown obviously.. but being in the Drivers seat for the Rose Bowl is not bad at all.. I missed the last 2 minutes right before the onside kick too.. FSN alternate switched right after that last TD by Oregon.

    That hurt my heart.

I'm worried about the Rose Bowl because we have a really hard schedule to finish it off. Especially at Arizona. I don't know if we can win that game.

Our defense makes me sad. :(

We need you guys to win at Tucson and we need USC to beat Arizona as well. If we take care of business that means the Civil War is for the Rose Bowl. That would be EPIC!

Actually I'm not sure now. I read on an O-Live message board that USC would go if there was a 3 way tie. The reasoning is that USC doesn't have any OOC losses while UO and OSU both have 1. Not sure if that's true or not. I thought OOC games didn't count when determining the Rose Bowl representative?

First thing: Fuck off, Beavs. You wanna throw the first stone? Really?

Second thing: Also for the Beavs: 95.5 The Game is THE HOME OF THE DUCKS. If you don't like Ducks talk, listen to 1080 or whatever ham radio station is carrying the Beavs game that week.

Nothing would be better than ending the Ducks chance at the Rose Bowl just like they did to us last year. It's what I've been dreaming ever since that night.

    Like last year?

I think there is some way to drop the third team in a three way tie, and then the other 2 decide it by head-to-head.

But again, all we gotta do is take care of business and we are in. Same with Arizona. The only two teams that control their own destiny. So that game in Tuscon is huge, but i'm not confident on the road at all.

Good situation to be in, but it could have been much better. Oh well.

Give up 51 points to Stanford and you deserve to lose, I don't care who you are. Our own fault.

    Life goes on, though.

That's silly, man. We definitely need to expect more of our team than that. 2 wins in a year would be a catastrophe, no matter who those 2 wins are against.

IMO, anything under 9 wins is a failure of a season.

callers on sports talk shows are often idiots regardless of who they're rooting for. Prior to this weekend the Ducks were a looooong shot to play in the BCS title game so a caller uttering the words national champs is confirming their idiot status. Why let idiots bother you?

Probably the same reason this thread was started.
