Is it just me or is everyone tired of hearing that Detroit is in another league and will win the championship with no problem. Im getting tired of them being so overrated. It gets under my skin now how bad its getting. I want them to lose so bad its not even funny.

I believe the Pistons were beat in the playoffs by the Spurs last year. But I might be wrong.

Overrated? I had more respect for you JKidd. They are rated just fine. This is the first time in years that the media is giving them the props they deserve, and there is nothing wrong with that. As far as us being in another league, whenever I hear that I think that they are talking about the East. I understand as do the media that the Spurs, Mavericks, and Suns have good chances to beat us, but we in the East are above and beyond the competition. If picking the Pistons to win it all this year in your opinion is stupid, you have had no idea of what is going on this season. Our guys play as hard as they can every night to get a victory. Picking them is the smart thing to do.The fact that this team, the greatest in Pistons history and maybe one of the best all time is getting props for the first time ever shouldn't be a reason to root against them.

Is it because you wish the Nets were that good? They deserve every bit of attention they are getting. The players deserve the recognition for playing so unselfish and sacraficing indivudual stats for the sake of the team.

I got sick of hearing about the Heat last year but the Pistons are as good as the hype is. I disagree about them beating the Spurs though but everyone else they should have no problems with.

No I dont want them to lose because I wish the Nets were that good. But they are so cocky. I watched one game and they were like heres the best starting 5 in the world. Give me a break. Personally I think the Spurs are better then them. They have a much deeper bench and they dominate both ends. They both are very good on defense but the Spurs are better on offense.

Do they not deserve to have some pride in themselves? What team wouldnt feel good about doing so well in the season. Whena team has a record like Detroit, they have proven to the NBA that they are the best. Detroit isn't a team like the Suns or the Supersonics where they have just one good year. The Pistons have made the Finals 2 times in a row, and will make it 3 this year. That is osmething to be proud of, and you shouldnt need to hide it because you dont want to make ppl feel like your cocky or w/e. They deserved this recognition - they deserved to have 4 players in the all star game, they derseved everything they're getting. They can't be overrated, because they are proving themselves every year, so that overrated thing is just overplayed. The Pistons are a bunch of regular guys who play team basketball, I dont see why you should be getting angry about that - they play the right way, and they are getting awarded for it.Also about the bench. We do have a great bench, and we are pretty deep now.I agree, we had a pretty crappy bench, but that same bench got us to the finals last year, and we were only a couple seconds away from another title. So what makes you say that the Spurs are better just because of their bench?? Thts bs. Plus, you haven't met our new bench yet - its like when we signed Tony Delk everything just clicked - he was our missing piece to the bench. He is like the modern day microwave. If you look at the box scores for the last couple of games you'll see how good our bench is - good enough to compete with the starting line ups of otther teams like the Wizards and Bucks. We got a huge arsenal with:Antonio Mcdyess who is a candidate for 6th man of the year - he is very consistent of the bench - the team calls him the 6th starter - thats how good he is.Tony Delk is a scorer, he scored 50+ points in a game once, so you cant go wrong with him - everytime he comes in the game he is automatic, he doesnt even need to warm up or anything - thats the perfect bench player.Lindsey is a defensive specialist, and can score at times. You do not want this guy on you in a game, he will harass you so much, and he will take the ball from you. He also gets a lot of respect from referrees.Delfino is a great energy guy who comes of the bench and provides scoring, and great defense.Maurice Evans is also a great energy guy - he knows how to throw it down, and has a nice shot that can get dangerous for teams.thats only half of them...now tell me our bench isn't deep.hater.

We are the frontrunners, but we are beatable. And San Antonio is the defending champs. I think that they are the frontrunners. I'm not tired of hearing about Detroit. Go Figure. I know you weren't tired about New Jersey with their streak.

The Pistons play best as the underdogs. 2 Years ago everyone thought the Lakers would make mince meat out of them, but it turned out to be the exact opposite. Last year everyone thought they wouldn't get to the Finals because of their "disapointing" regular season. This year however they are the front runners and I think their overconfidence iwll be their downfall and I predict the Spurs to repeat with the Heat winning the East.

And the spurs arnt the front runners, everyone says Detroit is. The Spurs SHOULD be the front runners. They won it last year, and what did the Pistons do to make them better? they have the same starting linup. They signed Tony Delk. Wow. The spurs signed Finley who is a shooter they never really had. Shooting was thier main problem last year. They went out and signed Finley and Van Exel. That makes them a lot better then last years team in my opinon.

The Spurs will win it. This is coming from a mavs fan. The spurs have not even played their best yet. Duncan and Ginobili can get better. The Pistons have been almost 100% healthy all year. The Spurs haven't. The same with the mavs but the sprus are better at handling it. When healthy the spurs are just as good as last year and that was damn good. No way I bet against them. The only teams that have a chance against them are the Mavs and Pistons because of matchups.

Yeah I forgot about that. The Spurs have had a lot of injuries throughout the season and they still almost got home court through the playoffs. They will win it all, no question.
