Yes, clearly we need Blount if we have any hope of winning. We're only averaging 36 points and our running game is garbage and all, right? :rolleyes3:

This is absolute bullshit in my opinion. You're going to let a guy come back who fucking sucker punched another player in the face, and then started going after some people in the stands...yet you suspend Dez Bryant for the season for making a simple mistake and lying since he was afraid he broke a rule by hanging out with Deion Sanders that he didn't actually break. I don't know who's more pathetic in this situation, the NCAA for not actually suspending him for the season, or the Oregon coach for letting him come back. This just makes me fucking sick.

So Chip Kelly should be harder on someone because of a stupid decision by the NCAA? I agree Dez Bryant's suspension is crap, but it should have no bearing on this decision.

No, Chip Kelly should be hard on someone because he deserved to be suspended all season. Either that or the NCAA should have done it themselves. Blount doesn't deserve to see the field again this season after what he did. Chip Kelly should have never gone back on his decision to suspend him all year, but I think the NCAA and their douchebag selves should have stepped in and done something about it.

ok so it sounds like you are one who feels he should have been suspended all season which is fine.. I can appreciate your opinion. My main point was Dez Bryant's BS deal he got should not and does not have anything to do with this reinstatement.

Oh I'm aware, I'm just in the boat that the NCAA should have stepped in and suspended him for the entire season. I don't think the Bryant decision should be weighed in it either, I just find it strange and infuriating that the NCAA did nothing about this, which is much more serious than what Bryant did, yet they suspended him for the season.

The NCAA is basically a joke I agree.. they were "satisfied" with Spikes only getting a half game suspension. And the Bryant decision. My guess on why they didnt do anything about the Blount incident because he was already suspended for the season.. not much more they could have done at that time. I guess we are just in different boats.. the guy lost his cool and has more than paid his debt for his stupid decision IMO, he basically took a blank check that night and ripped it up. He has worked hard and I would venture to guess, met some strict requirements to be in the position to be reinstated.

The Brandon Spikes thing agitated me too. I'm glad he took it upon himself to sit out the entire game. That, in my book, shows how much the NCAA loves Florida. Ugh...how I hate Florida.

Going after someone's eyes bothers me much more than punching. That is freaking savage, and any slight amount of contact could cause significant damage. I don't know both sides of the story but I don't condone such actions.

I tend to agree with that too. I was more bothered by the eye gouge. I would say the same thing if Blount eye gouged and Spikes punched.

Agreed. I hate the SEC. I'm still bitter about the Capitol One Bowl a few years back (Iowa vs. Florida) when Iowa got completely screwed by the officials. That was a bitter end to a solid season that year for my Hawks. This is going to be a pretty bitter end this year too though, cause from my understanding, Stanzi just had surgery today...so he's probably done for the year...which means a freshman has to go in to OSU. I have a hunch that could be a massacre.

it's funny you say that, what would happen if OSU beat UofO? and assume the the rest of the games for USC, UofO, and OSU were wins. There would be a three way tie, with rock paper scissors!:NOTMARIS:

And just like that November choke job last year that had us finish in the top 10?

I believe Oregon State still needs help. I'd guess that OSU would drop and it would be UO vs USC head to head, but someone said USC would win, so I don't know what the formula is.

You seem to be very full of self importance... should society base all of it's decisions on how you feel? Here's a Chip Kelly quote for you...

"If I run the program based on what public opinion is, I'd have a lot of problems"

wow I hadnt heard that.. I thought that it was just a sprain which would have meant the next couple games gone, but at least back for the bowl game. That sucks.. my condolences. When he went down my stomach turned because I know the feeling on a QB going down de-railing a season. Good luck the rest of the way.

You do understand that the BSU kid started the fight? He taunted Blount, and then grabbed his jersey.

If he doesn't put his hands on Blount - none of this happens. If Blount is suspended for the season, what should his penalty be?

OK, let me get this straight.

The part of the post about Blount being killed and brought back as a brain sucking zombie doesn't phase you. The part about the Ducks losing 2 more games strikes you as inconceivable.

    That's dedication!

Actualyl I was referring more to the comment earlier about CK now being in over his head etc.. I should have quoted that sorry. I know this is a tough stretch for the Ducks. I didnt take the Blount comments seriously though dont worry ;)
