New Orleans won't be as easy as Memphis. Our 1st line of defense is Derek Fisher, who will get burned. Then we have DJ Mbenga manning the paint. I predict he fouls out in 3 minutes unless Fish actually does something defensively on CP3.

New Orleans are struggling though... and there is a chance of them having a breakout game against.

I just hope LO the double-double beast shows up and Mbenga avoids those fouls. Our PGs performance will also be key...

Why not put Kobe on CP3 if he heats up, but we'd have to get the whole team involved on offense so Kobe won't get burned out early in the game

DJ is thriving with the first unit. He's doing a great job of weakside shot blocking and is tough to post up against because of his sheer size. It's funny watching an offensive player try to bump Mbenga off the block and get nowhere. It's like running into a wall.

He still has some issues with court awareness and gets called for a lot of 3 second violations. He's also over anxious shooting those jumpers, but Mbenga is getting it done with our two bigs out. Him and Powell are getting a lot of meaningful minutes and producing.

I'm getting kind of annoyed with Pau. Just come out and say you'll be out 2-3 weeks.

Why? What if he is out 4-5 weeks? What if he only had to miss 1 game? Its a hamstring injury! Nobody knows how long they will take to heal and we have absolutely no reason to rush him back. I think it is probably better for this team in the long run to have our bench get more run early in the year so they can find an identity.

So you want them to lie. If they dont know the answer, you want them to make one up?

It obviously isn't a day to day issue. We're going on 14+ games now if you include pre-season.

Not our fault he is soft.

His parents are doctors and I read that they already cleared him to play. But he doesn't want to.

    soft soft soft :)

Hk is disappointed. He wanted Drew out 3-4 months.

Even w/o Bynum, the Lakers should be fully capable of beating the suns... although it just wont be as easy

The Suns team relies on their ability to make 3's. If those aren't falling they aren't going to win many games especially against the elite teams in the league. Something the Lakers might encounter is a slow start because of the extra days off. Should be an exciting game and a lot of highlights.

Is DJ Mbenga ok? I read he was hurting a bit.

Yeah he has knee tendinitis and some other nagging ailments. The Lakers might need to explore playing Artest at PF and Odom at C during stretches.

Or maybe they should think about using one of their empty roster spots to bring in another big body. I think Mihm still hasn't signed anywhere. At least he knows the offense.

A little upset with Pau right now for playing in that meaningless European tournament. Definitely we need to look into whatever is out there.

If we make a trade I'd still want us to focus on getting a better perimeter player first. I think we will be ok by the end of the year. At least we get to see Kobe almost exclusively in the post a while longer...
