Bosh Will Re-Sign With Raptors 20th April, 2006 - 12:49 pm The Star - Raptors fans can now breathe easily after forward Chris Bosh said today: "I'll gladly come back," Bosh said, confirming he'll sign a lucrative six-year contract extension this summer. "My whole thing is 'why not?' " said Bosh, who as a three-year pro was entering into an offseason in which the Raptors had exclusive negotiating rights. "I have a chance to have my own team, be a leader on the team and challenge myself to bring it back up." [READ]
Already posted. But serioulsy, why the hell would any rising star want to be the 2nd option to Kobe Bryant? I can see that Bosh knows that the Raps have a good future. He wants to start his own legacy.
Maybe the rising star wants a championship sooner than joining a developing team? But it's done. Oh well.
Championship? He would sign some where other than LA if he wanted that. He wants to help this Raptors team get better because they already are starting to improve. I think around when he's 27 he will leave if nothing has improved.
Thank god, now the players that LA already has can grow. They have two monster projects in Kwame and Bynum that need time, having the threat of being traded or losing your starting job might screw up their confidence.

When was Bosh supposed to sign with Lakers anyway. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>His lost</div>Raps are only going up, I don't see the loss.
No way....Someone not wanting to join the Lakers! I wonder why....probably because he would maybe at most get 5-8 shots a game! When Kobe will have about 20-30 shots a game!
great for the young star, bosh. bad for the mediocre team, lakers.but bosh made the right choice for him. why would he leave, he wouldn't.

Maybe if the Lakers players werent so crappy and could actually make their shots they'd get shots. Infact half the time they get a wide open pass only to pass it to Kobe who's double or triple teamed. Tons of players would like to play with someone like Kobe, it free them up on offense for the wide open shot.

He's been having great 14+ games. He's doing good on the boards too. Ever since Mihm got injured he's been more confident and making Amare like plays. Look out for him next year. And his man on man defense is top notch. Have you seen him hold his ground against Shaq? No other player in the league can do that.I'll admit Kwame was <Censored> the first part of the season, but he's really stepped it up.
Kwame is a lost cause. Why are people still waiting for him to "break out" after what, his 6th year in the league? He's a bust, face it.

The way he was treated with the Wizards was just disgusting. He even managed to put up ok numbers after what MJ and the team did to him. Look at his body, he wasn't a number one for nothing.Like I said he's been really improving with his points and rebounds and his man to man defense is off the charts this year. Just wait until next year.
