Is Sam Smith crazy? Noah's looked pretty good and looked good in last year's playoffs, no doubt. But c'mon Sam, I don't think any GM would trade Oden for Noah, and no I didn't have to think about it. I have a good feeling about how that matchup will look on Nov. 23.

If Oden had Noah's heart and motor.. he would be a fantastic player.

Joakim Noah is a major tool, but you gotta respect how much production he gets out of very little talent.

Oden should be lower on that list.

Based only on production from draft day to now.

I think Sam Smith should move into a floating house with Jaynes. They both seem to exhibit the same kind of basketball analysis acumen. They will be very happy together.

Yeah you are right. Brooks should be higher than Oden based only on production, but Brooks should also be higher than Noah.

In your 2009 Draft Day rankings based SOLELY on production in the NBA, who do you rank higher Dante Cunningham or Blake Griffin?

Hank you are the anti-oden, so your comments are a Moot point. So you only post in this forum to bash on Oden as well? Weird how much you've changed.

Injuries, foul trouble, bad attitude and poor conditioning are all factors for Oden.

you Blazer homers can wish it away and pretend it doesn't exist all you want.. but it's a real thing and it hurts Oden when it comes time to make comparisons to other players.

Greg has a ways to go as far as developing his offensive game and staying out of foul trouble, but anyone who would take Noah over him is crazy. Did you not see what Oden did to Noah and Horford in the championship game? Oden has been set back by injuries and is finally starting to look like a potentially dominant player on the court. His teamates have never tried to work him into the offense so there will still be some bumps in the road. As far as Sam Smith goes, hes a tool. He knows, like everyone that Noah will never win an NBA title. While a good player Noah has achieved that on hard work and effort. He will never be any better then he is right now. Oden OTOH has unbelievable strength, rebounding ability and shot blocking. His offense is developing and coming along nicely. The more his team integrates him into the offense the better not only he will be but the Blazers will be as well. In short, Oden has the ability to dominate Noah never will.

There have been single quarters where Oden has got 10 rebounds. We just need him to stay out on the floor for longer, and this will be moot.

Noah = 24, Oden = 21. Noah played 2 seasons, Oden played 1 (coming back from micro-fracture knee surgery). Noah = 4 years of college, Oden = 1 year and look at Roy. 4 years college helps you to get "NBA Ready". When Oden is 24 and still in foul trouble and has a raw offensive game, I will humble concede. Until then, F-off.

It will be? Maybe. I like Noah - I thought he was better than people said he was when he was picked 9, I thought the Bulls got a steal - and they did. But, please...

Last year, when the went head to head, Noah had 4 points in one game, 3 in the other.

Greg had 17 in one game, 11 in the other.

Last year Oden was just coming back from injury.

Noah is a great, high-energy, pretty smart garbage man extraordinaire - a very nice player to have - like a super-deluxe version of Joel. Oden is and will be much much better.

Well, as I alluded to earlier they have.

    http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=274000063

Oden outplayed both Noah and Horford and only scored 1 point less then both of them combined.

Last year at the RoseGarden. Check out this boxscore. Both Oden and Noah played 17 minutes but check out their respective numbers for the game. I remember this game because Noah couldn't stop Oden and kept fouling him.

As far as being better then Noah goes, checkmate.
