As do most "experts" and analysts, and coaches and players.

Except he never anally-raped anyone, never gave his wife an STD, didn't accept illegal gifts in college, so we're talking professionally only.

You don't know that. He might have been comparing himself to them in terms of anal rape.

BTW all of the greats had the same attitude, you have to have a major ego to be the best in sports.

All greats at one time or another had to adjust their thinking to win championships as well.

Thanks for posting the link Sly. As I told you, I probably should have did the same when I posted this thread.

I understand Quick has a podium to speak, but he's tryin to sell newspapers! I wouldn't take anything that tool says at face value.

Question was that part of the Kobe in Colorado thing? The anal rape? Or is it a seperate occurrence or something LeBron did? I'm quite serious I never bothered to look that into the Colorado thing.

So are you willing to let Roy do that, or do you want to nail him to the cross now?

The comical thing is that Lebron, Wade, and Kobe have all become much better players by learning to play off the ball and trust their teammates over the last couple of years.

For once I agree with Nate apparently says here.....No one is saying that Roy has to be a spot up shooter or shouldn't have the ball in his hands, you could still have Miller initiate the offense and have Roy coming off screens, it actually should work better for him....harder for double teams to focus on him, what are they going to have two players chasing him around screens? It is much easier to double a guy when he is standing at the top of the key with the ball in his hands, not so easy when he is moving...

I think it also makes it easier for Roy to attack the basket....Miller is a good passer, can drive and put pressure on the defense, Roy gets the ball and can either take a open jumpshot or ATTACK the basket...likely scoring, getting fouled or dishing to a teamate for an easy basket....

as for "his touches", he just needs to call for the ball, that is what Kobe, LeBron & Wade do. Let the team (and PG) do thier thing and then when he feels he needs to get his touches, get a shot etc...call for the damm ball....

I disagree that Wade and James have learned to play off of the ball. They both dominate the ball on their respective teams. Bryant does play off-the-ball more now, but not in the 4th quarter. :dunno:

    Post-game interview w/Roy:
MB: "the 3 guard starting lineup has worked well so far. It's changed things. you've maybe been the one who's had to sacrifice the most. Is this all going well so far? Obviously wins and losses it is. Is the adjustment going well?"

Roy:"Yeah, I think, you know I'm still trying to improve with uh. coming off screens and playing off the ball. You know, again, whatever position coach puts me in on the floor I'm going to try to do my best at it. This is a new one for me, but I'm trying to improve each game and I feel like I got a better rhythm in the second half tonight which I hope can carry over to next game."

It was encouraging to see Brandon get involved offensively in the third quarter. In the first half, he was just passing up a lot of wide-open shots. Second half, they called some plays for him, and he got it going a bit. We need a close tight game so Brandon is reminded of how much we'll need him.
