Uhh..this is Sam Smith, the guy who whenever he breaks a rumor, you know its not going to happen. His articles are shallow and pedantic.

Yeah. Reading Sam Smith for basketball analysis is like getting imaginary cap space!

I wonder if Oden will ever have a 21 pt 16 rebound game. Noah did.

    (amazing how stats work)

Anyhow, Noah is averaging 11.4 PPG, 12.4 RPG, 2.3 BPG, 2.1 APG, on 59% shooting.

Oden is averaging 9.1 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 2.4 BPG, 0.8 APG, on 59% shooting.

He's wrong. Probably trying to make Bulls fans feel better after trading Aldridge for Tyrus.

Well if we are comparing apples to apples. Noah averaged: 6.7 ppg, 5.6 rebounds, 1.3 assist, 1.4 blocks his second year.

    Oden's second year: 9.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 2.4 blocks.

I guess the debate is over.

It looks to me like the question is who you'd want NOW, based upon production.

Would I trade Oden for Noah? No.

Exactly. Noah right now is better. You could talk about Noah's last year or years past but he looks like a different player this year. Thats why when they matchup this year it could be interesting

Noah's bulked up and still is agile. But I don't think he's really suited to match up against super tall, strong, physical guys like Oden. I expect Oden to be the better player both nights.

I do agree that will do better but i think it'll be 2 good battles. I honestly didn't think Noah and the Bull's big guys would do too well vs. the Cavs but they surprised me so who knows. Its a new year

The Cavs' bigs are 34 and 38 years old, and haven't been very fleet afoot in years.

True but i still think they're tough to play against. All we could do is wait and see but i'm more optimistic with Noah's new self this year :)

Noah is a scrapper. He's also a monster douchebag. I don't care if he produces better than Lebron James, I wouldn't trade Juan Dixon for Noah.

I'm really impressed with Noah. He isn't elite athletically, but he has solid size, and his motor is always running. He's pretty close to his ceiling, and is maybe playing over it right now, but for this season, an argument could be made to start Noah over Oden.

In the long-term, however, Oden is the obvious answer at this point. Once he learns to stay on the court, his numbers are going to be scary on the defensive end and decent on the offensive end.

Did Noah ever have 12 pts 10 rbs at the half? Oden has that right now.

Right now Oden impacts games more than any other player from that draft. And that includes Durant.
