Are you pissed off that Scott was fired before Nate?

I'm not. If Nate had that roster, he would have been fired first.

I'm not sure Nate is a good coach. I know that Scott is not.

I feel that Nate doesn't deserve to get fired as long as the team keeps winning, irrespective of the doubts that I may harbor about him. And he's won enough lately that even if the team had had a slow start the franchise should give him some time to turn it around.

Not at all. In fact, I am considering taking down my A+ Sig and Avvy because I like how Nate has been letting Andre call plays.

Nate is scoring points with me again.

I don't know if any of you watched the real nba training camps on NBATV, but when I watched that, Scott came across to me as a class A fuckhead. He would talk junk to his own players, and then bet them like 5k or 10k that they couldn't hit so many shots from the 3 point line in so much time, and then when they failed, deride them for a while. It was like he thought he was still a player, talking junk and stuff.

Is their roster really that bad. They have 3 players on the roster that have been multiple allstars. A guy with 2 NBA Championship rings. A former #2 selection in the draft at center, the best point guard in the league. They have consolidated their roster. (Which apparently is huge in this forum) They have both youth and vets. Seems like they have it all. Except a good coach.

Ha ha ha ha that is a good one. 2 NBA championship rings? I take it you are referring to Posey? I think Devin Brown also has one too from his San Antonio days. That is almost like expecting a team to be competitive if they had picked up Bill Wennington from the Bulls or something. Hilarious. Peja is a shadow of himself. David West took some Zbo pills and quite playing defense, running the court, and started bitching at the refs instead of ballin hard. Emeka Okafor tries hard one game, then disappears.

Well, we'll see. I certainly expect them to be better than a .333 team.

Ya, that shitty coach who took a team to the NBA finals twice, and another team to the Western Conference semi finals.

A shitty coach who has a .498 winning %. The same as Nate

A shitty coach who left a team better than he found it. All he has dealt with is injuries. Those are the only reasons he has been fired.

And LOL at consolidating. They had a fire sale.

Scott's problem was never the X's and the O's - but his teams always seem to turn him out. Happened in NJ (Kidd basically had a palace coup there) - and seems like it happened in NOH.

Something tells me that it is not going to magically get better somewhere else. PJ Carlisimo had the same issues before - and despite going to the Pop school of coach/player relationships - did not seem to really connect with his guys at OKC.

When did David West ever play D and NOT bitch at the REFS.

Yes my comments were tongue in cheek. Most of it was to point out how stupid it is consolidate a roster by getting rid of quality role players in favor of a few seasoned vets that won't worry about playing time. You have to keep the pipe line filled.

To the OP's question, Nate's tuned a corner. It's a baby corner, but he's showing adaptability and improvement.

If he were to come out tomorrow with some garbage like "Blakey and Joel are our starters, b/c we won 54 games last year, and I don't want Oden to be any part of the offense", well...you make the call.

It's amazing that Nate does what he should have been doing in the first place, years ago (ie. Hand over control to point, better rotations),
and all of a sudden he's a genius.

He's riding the coattails of this teams talent. He's had Less involvment lately and the team is playing better.
    Coincidence?

Nate finally has a PG he trusts enough to hand control over to and five games into the season he did. Coincidence? Given that we've had an extremely young and inexperienced team and PG's who have often been underwhelming, I disagree that this is what Nate should have been doing all along.

And FYI, the first time the word genius was used in this thread was in your post.

Years ago? SO you would have preferred he just throw him out there and let Bayless run the show from day 1? Who did he have to throw out there and trust?
