There's a lot of media fanfare about LeBron James and Dwyane Wade joining forces next summer in Miami. The Heat have the cap space, both have discussed it as a long shot, and LeBron continues to fuel the speculation of leaving Cleveland by not giving a straight answer about being a Cav for life. As a fan of the NBA would you want to see these two superstars on the same team?
I would love to see them together. That way they won't have an excuse when they lose to the celtics or lakers
Certainly not. They'd take away from eachother's individual brilliance and it would take away a great rivalry.
Having a star big man to pair up with a star swingmen is more of a priority than having 2 star swingmen. I'd rather have a team with Jordan + Shaq than Jordan + Lebron.
Not necessarily the role of Pippen, but two superstar wing players dominating the league. I'd say LeBron would probably be closer to Pippen though as Point-Forward. Both Wade & LeBron play well off the ball so I don't think it would matter who facilitated.
It's a good question though. Who would be willing to be the more unheralded one, doing the dirty work? I'd say Lebron has the skillset to do it, but the guy craves the spotlight.
On the other hand watching the game tonight with LeBron and Wade opposing each other has been boring. Wade the posterizing dunk early on, but I'm getting tired of watching Wade shoot free throws in the second half.
Wade has absolutely lived at the line this game. 21 fucking free throws so far, good grief. And now the game is taking up my Lakers game watching.
Why not? If it happens, it happens. It would be fun to watch them together and if they complement each other well it will up the ante in the NBA. We will get to see a more determined (if that is possible) Kobe Bryant try to show that he can lead his team to victory over a team with two of the top 5 players in the league. It would also be interesting to see how Cleveland would rebound from losing a native child. It would be fun to see how Orlando and Boston would try to counter. If that were to happen we might anticipate the start of the 2010-2011 season even more than we anticipated the start of this season.
It would be pretty interesting, but might they argue about touches? Beating them in a Final could be extra cool though.
