I'm getting used to the maps now and starting to kick ass. The road flair perk where you can pick where to spawn is awesome. A total buzz kill for the person who just killed me because most likely I'll spawn directly behind them.
whats the best game type to use that perk for? I could maybe see like CTF or something getting closer and closer to the flag.
Arghh, i better get this damn game today, half the reason why i bought it so early was so most people would be as bad as me at first because the game is still so new.
lol me too.. although on multiplayer I started super poorly and have gotten better since. I honestly had like a .66 K/d ratio.. I have gotten it up to 1.20 now which is weird cause at best on COD 4 I was like a .96
Sweet, the cheaters have already ruined this game. Top it off with the fact that they don't give you any optoin to kick cheaters and ban them from servers, and it makes it so you have no choice but to get bent over by some cheater. They did a lot of good with this game, but they fucked up the multiplayer servers by not allowing dedicated servers.
You can already find footage up on Utube of dudes cheating, shooting folks through walls. WTF? What I really can't understand is why companies haven't figured out that with the latest OS you can actually run your program in a protected memory space which is inaccessable with other programs, and why haven't they leveraged this to keep cheaters at bay? So frackin stupid.
while I admit I may not be entirely sure what Dedicated Servers do.. if them not being there allows people to cheat.. that sucks and I'll give you a WTF to back you up.
The only pc game i've really played is Civilization IV, this may sound crazy but the keyboard and mouse just feels too awkward for first person shooters, probably because i only played consoles growing up.
Mang, buy Dragon Age, it's the business! I'm getting it for only 30 bucks with my amazon 20 buck credit.
actually I've heard thats pretty good too.. but with COD I think I'll be set for a bit.. plus I'll get it used later on. Dragon Age has like 60 hrs of gameplay doesnt it?
They don't necessarily stop people from cheating. But if the administrator of the server is active, they can ban cheaters from the server and never allow them to join again. See if you can kick people but they can just rejoin over and over, you gain nothing. But if you have an administrator who has the ability to ban them from a server for life, then you have something to build on. There are not a lot of cheaters out there. So if you actively ban them, pretty soon you have locked the cheating community out of your server, and people will notice that your server is a good one, and they can join it without worry of cheaters being on board for the most part. Not 100%, but your chances are really high of having an enjoyable gaming experience. The second part is, dedicated servers don't have to run the graphics portion of the game, so they can respond faster, and host more people. 9 vs 9 is actually a very small match in the scheme of online gaming these days. On TF2 with dedicates servers it is not uncommon to see 16 vs 16 or so. I have even seen 64 man maps running flawless.
