You be the GM. What moves would you make this off season? What direction would you take this team in? Who would you trade or sign?

Nothing major is needed for the Magic, they have a wonderful core set in place. The biggest hole is probably the SG. I would try to get a S & T going with Indiana. Give them Keyon Dooling in exchange for Fred Jones, with maybe a pick or two being exchanged. Jones is a great defender, good ballhandler, and good scorer. The most important thing he would bring would be defense. If this goes through, draft Cedric Simmons or Shelden Williams. If not, draft Ronnie Brewer. When Grant Hill's contract expires, make a strong, strong push for Camelo Anthony. I'm not saying Carmelo would be interested in leaving, but if they throw enough money at him, there is a chance.so their line-up in two years would idealistically look like this:Jameer Nelson/Carlos ArroyoFred Jones/DeShawn StevensonCarmelo Anthony/Hedo TurkogluDwight Howard/Shelden Williams or Cedric SimmonsDarko Milicic/Tony Battie. That's a championship team.

They need to improve their two guard situation. I would try to trade Dooling for someone more useful, they already have Nelson/Arroyo. Draft a solid two guard or maybe make a push for Fred Jones?

What trades would you make, if any? I would keep this team intact and not make any trades, even though I have heard about trading our lottery pick for a veteren.Who would you push for in Free Agency? I would not go out and spend alot of money this year for FA, I would wait untill the '07 Free Agency. But I would not mind seeing Reggie Evans in a Magic uniform he would give "The Double D's" some rest when they hit the bench and he can rebound like no other. I also see the Magic going after the Al Harrington this off-season, but I dont want him in Orlando especially if we draft Rodney Carney.Who would you pursue in the NBA Draft? I have said this before and i will say it again the 3 who the Magic will be looking at very closely are Brandon Roy, Rodney Carney, and Ronnie Brewer. I would not mind seeing any of those players in Orlando but Roy's stock is going up so I doubt we draft him then with Roy out of the mix I will add Richard Roby to the Magic's big board. In the end I would really like to the Magic draft Carney and develop into a great 2/3 player, Brewer would not be too bad either.

I was thinking the same exact things with the picks. Ronnie would be a good fit for the Magic.

Good ideas for the Magic to really think about at the point they are at is to trade for a draft pick. This year there are lots of great talent heading into the NBA, try and get as far up as possible. As for trades this year, for now trade no one. See how your team develops, specifically Grant Hill. Also i seriousely doubt the Magic could get Carmelo Anthony for Hill...

yup I agree with pretty much everyone here. We need to improve the 2 guard. Get someone in there to compliment Nelson on the perimeter. I say draft a 2 guard with that #10 pick we have.

You need a 2-guard. I think the top 3 best fits that in the lottery are Brandon Roy (but won't be available at 6-7, let alone 11), Rodney Carney (he is the next Richard Jefferson in my opinion), and even JJ Redick could really help Orlando.

But, word is that they are looking and talking hard about moving up to anywhere between 6-9th pick. They like Rudy Gay, Shelden Williams, and Rodney Carney a lot. I think Carney is the better fit of those 3. Shelden is not a great fit because Darko at the 5 plus Tony Battie just recieved a new contract from Orlando. Plus Howard at the 4 while they are still waiting on Fran Vasquz (2005 11th overall pick).

My opinion, Orlando will end up trading up and ending up with Carney some how. Even then, I see it very possible Carney *could* slip to 11 anyway, but probably not.
