Another test for the Lakers facing Denver back to back in Denver after a late game last night. These teams had some tense moments during the preseason and I expect that to continue tonight. Keep an eye on the Odom-Martin/Birdman feud. Artest and Melo could get interesting too along with Kobe and Earl "don't call me JR anymore" Smith
Earl is always the most focused player in the league. I'm looking forward to what Artest will do to keep Melo in check and to see another game of Kobe dominating the post.
Hopefully no one will be sore from yesterday's game against the suns since most of the starters didn't play much in the 4th... This should be a good game...
Entertaining 1st half. I'm worried that we're down though, because Melo played all of 12 minutes that half, so he'll be fresh for the 2nd half, assuming he can stay on the court.
There's been some pretty ticky-tack fouls being called by the refs this quarter that haven't helped the Lakers. Though they haven't helped themselves by playing incredibly sloppy and letting 'Melo get those 3 hoops in transition to get in a rhythm. Everything is going the Nuggets way right now, and things aren't looking too hot for us right now. We need Kobe to get things going if we're going to pull this one out.
Who is Derek Fisher, again? Did anyone get the memo about this game? Were Drew and Odom the only two who knew about the game? I really hope people shut the fuck up about Drew's rebounding.
Stupid game for us... We played an Ok 1st half... But the 3rd qtr. was absolutely horrendous... The team looked sleepy during the 3rd even though the Nuggets were making a run. The nuggets were really active on defense quickly rotating to double both Bynum and Kobe, Kobe couldn't do much in the paint coz as soon as he started dribbling the double team came. And Fisher... WTF, everytime someone was doubled they otated the ball to him and he couldn't make all those wide - open jumpers (0-5 FGs, 0-3 3s)... jeez... Lamar was blind at the FT line missing 4 straight FT's (3-7 FTs), he never makes FTs when it really counts most of the time. Refs were all over us calling everything the nuggets way (FT disparity everyone). I thought this was a chance for the bench to show up, especially ammo, and what do they do? LOL score 15 pts in 1 qtr. Ammo ith those ridiculous bricks from 3... Anyway, no biggie... Another lesson learned
Ok, I went out with friends at the end of the 1st Q thinking it was gonna be a tough grind-out win for LA, but I didn't expect a blowout loss. lol WHat happened? Do you think this is just a simple everything went wrong for us while everything went right for them scenario or is it something to be really concerned about?
Wow, what a nightmare of a game. I turned it off after the 3rd quarter. Did we even end up scoring 20 points in the 2nd half?
I really like Andrew Bynum. It seemed like he was the only one who really cared about the game and actually did something.
Really concerned about? It is just one game, I don't care if we would have lost by 100. We got cold in the third, understatement, and then rested our guys. No biggie.
