To NJ: Blake, Fernandez, and Outlaw (and a pick or two?)

    To Portland: Devin Harris

I doubt they would. I think it would have to be more like Miller, Bayless, Rudy, Outlaw, 1st for Harris and a contract. Even then, we are trading bench/role players for a star. Quality > Quantity unless they are trying to clear cap space... but you'd think Harris would be one of the two people they build around.

With Miller in there, that one would have to wait until December 15th, correct?

I'd hate to part with Bayless, But I think I'd still do that one.

I'm not sure how long you have to wait, but I'm guessing you are right.

I'd hate to let Bayless go as well, but Harris gives you a lot of the same things as Bayless just at a higher level. Harris on this team would be really cool, but I definitely think that we'd need to consolidate in the trade to get him, because we already have 3 pgs that feel they deserve minutes. Bringing in a 4th without trading at least 2 of them would be a problem.

There's not a chance in hell the Nets would trade away Harris who was an all-star selection a year ago for just table scraps (and right now all three of those guys are table scraps).

Perhaps they'd bite on Miller/Bayless or Miller/Rudy, but I wonder how effective a Brandon/Harris backcourt would be. Devin is not an especially good outside shooter or even mid-range shooter, his defensive abilities would be nice though (assuming he'd go back to being a ball-hawk when no longer the number one option to score on offense).

    A) Nets wouldn't take that trade.

    B) If Roybe hates playing with Miller, why would he want to play with Harris?

I doubt it but Rudy would be like the second coming of Petro for them.
