A little quick to write off his drafts as bad? Jordan Hill isn't getting any burn because his game isn't polished yet. He's a great athlete, but is just very young. Gallinari has looked good. He's young and just came off an energy. He'll be a great offensive player for years.
bump...he has 39 points in 3 quarters, 4 rebs, 3 assists, and only 1 turnover......oh ya he had 29 points in the third
I switched over to this game after the Blazers' one. Holy shit. Jennings is amazing. 29pts in the third quarter. 43 for the game, with 6 minutes left. I called this guy the third best player in the draft (behind Rubio and Griffin). I might be right.
NBATV cut to that game for a few minutes and he only took one shot and was called for a charge I was expecting him to be super aggressive when I heard he was over 40 already. They cut away again, so I'm not sure how he's doing now
Nevermind my last post. He must have started looking for his shot again once they stopped showing cause he's over 50 now...in his 9th effing game in the league.
I'm happy for Milwaukee and the fans because they needed a draw there and something exciting to look forward to watching.
the dying basketball card industry has been looking for someone new to get excited about. this will help a lot.
so why exactly did 9 nba teams pass on this guy? i remember chad ford and bill simmons mocking jennings and ford claiming that rubio was the far superior player. jennings performance this year is proof that nba evaluators and so called experts know nothing. brandon jennings is the truth!!!
because he played a year in europe out of highschool instead of going to college, and basically stunk.
i think it was a cultural shock more than anything. plus, the rules overseas punish the quicker guys with the zone and they allow hand checking to go unfettered. btw, if the clippers called tonight and offered blake griffin straight up for jennings, would the bucks do it?
he only shot 8 FT tonight in a 55 pt game. the warriors should have been handchecking him on his ass.
