The 2007 Allstar-Game is being hosted at Vegas,it seems there taking slow steps to get a franchise set up over there,Theres always the problem of gambling. So with that said do you think Las Vegas will ever get a franchise?
I don't think so. They will not because can you image the illegal betting that would go on if they did? It would be crazy.
I think there will be a team in Las Vegas eventually. You can never really control illegal gambling, but Stern has repeatedly said that the only way he will even consider putting a team in Vegas is if they take basketball games off the books over there.
Stern is an A-Hole, it would be interesting for Vegas to have a team, I personally love the city. And basketball is the only pro sport I watch really.Another expansion team would just water down rosters even more. We should just give em the magic, the name fits too. Plus I heard their ticket sales are sucking.
Orlando's ticket sales? I don't see why they wouldn't support that up-and-coming team.If the NBA relocates a team to Vegas, it will most likely be the Sacramento Kings. The Maloof brothers own casinos in Vegas, and have already prohibited betting on basketball in their casinos. However, I think the first city that should be looked at to have an NBA franchise is Oklahoma City. Look at how that city responded in hosting the Hornets this year.
Sac-Town is suprisingly a good basketball city. And the Maloofs said if they do move them it'll probably be to Anaheim. I think San Diego should get the Clippers back.
They wouldnt move a eastern conference team into the west. That would make the West have 16 teams and the east have 14. And if i was the Magic, no way in hell would i want to move to the tougher conference. If they put a team in Las Vegas, i can only see it as an expansion team. I dont think any other team will relocate to there. But if i had to pick a team to move there, i would pick either the Sonics or the TrailBlazers.

I will bet David Stern will experiment with a NBDL team there before he makes the choice on an NBA team. I think that if it is popular he will consider it.

Why would they move the Kings to Vegas? They held the NBA record for consecutive sell-outs as ARCO, I don't see that happening.
The NBDL is really helping players develope. I have seen it first hand here at the end of the season where the Pistons have rested their starters and played the guys that we had in the NBDL, you can see the improvement.arya you have a tendancy to diss on something without giving a valid reason...

Everyone knows eachother and they love the Kings because it's all they got and they're usually decent every year. That's why the Maloofs won't move them. But if they did they said Anaheim.
Exactly, it's similar to San Antonio and the Spurs. I don't see that ever happening. If they're making money in Sacramento then they have no reason to relocate the team, it's as simple as that.
San Antonio is actually a big city now. Bigger than Dallas now actually. They have a nice downtown and a very large Hispanic community. They're not the small-city they once were.

Dallas has a lot of suberbs and other cities by Dallas. I guess you can compare it to Los Angeles in the respect. In LA, you have all these cities that are so close, you cant tell when one ends and another begins. In the Dallas area, you have Ft. Worth, Arlington, Plano, Grand Prairie, Mesquite, Richardson, etc. Its way bigger than San Antonio.
Eventually they will definatly have a team, it has no basketball history so i'd rather not see it happen but the gambling controversy over it is so overhyped by the media.
My answer is I hope not. No disrespect but the All Star Weekend is enough. Vegas would be an embarassment to the NBA.
