Vegas is not a sports city anyway. Besides the All Star event that everyone across the country goes to, no one would go to a sporting event in Vegas. I say it would be an embarassment because of all the gambling, sex, crime, hookers, show-girls. It just isn't a good environment for the NBA or any sports team, for that matter.

I think the Maloof brothers will try to move them there especially with recent arena issues (I believe the community doesnt support it?)..I would be surprised if they didnt try, however, I doubt Stern would allow it..I see a team moving to Oklahoma City when the Hornets go back to New Orleans (probably Seattle?)..

And to add to BCB's, isn't crime rates worse in LA and New York CB4? But yet there's two teams in LA, and one in NY.
Vegas is just a gambling city, where prostutution is aloud. I just don't think the NBA would fit there because it is also NOT a sports town.
Los Angeles isn't a sports town, Sacramento isn't a sports town, it's a huge market for the NBA and people really overract to the cities outlandish culture.
I think it could happen..especially since the All Star game is hosted in Vegas Next year. The NBA might take notice of the city next year and consider it for the 2007-2008 regular season.

Las Vegas would not show up to any of the games, I am guessing.

In the next 10 years Vegas will have a team, they have a very big and growing population not to mention it's a huge tourism area, it would make huge business sense.
Vegas deserves a team and will get one but I think that experimenting eith the NBDL is still a good idea.
i doubt vegas will get a team. theres way too many distractions to have a sports team play half their games there. with all the gambling problems baseball had wiht pete rose i doubt they'd put a franchise there. its asking for trouble.

He bet on games while managing in Cincinatti. You guys are making way too big of a deal out of Vegas. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (cwebb4 @ Apr 26 2006, 12:53 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I don't see Vegas getting any professional sports teams.</div> Yeah, I mean it only has an amazing economy and a emerging population. It's definatly going to have pro franchises there. The media needs to get over the fact that it's a gambling town and stop making it out to be Sin City, a place where all players will do drugs, gamble, betray their teams and get HIV from hookers.
