That was in the opening minute. Lakers up 54 - 52 @ the half. Drew with 14 and 5. Get him some touches baby!
Kobe really need to learn when to hog the ball and when to go in passing mode. It seems as though he spends one quarter doing one or the other. Thats one thing Lebron is so much better at than he is.
Or how about the most obvious answer? C: Waiting for their all-star PF to get back? The season is young, you should go check out LG...you would've thought Kobe shredded his knee or some shit.
What happened to Kobe's 3-point shooting this year? They could have used some of that to get back into the game.
No energy no passion. This happened with the three peat teams as well. Without Gasol is not an excuse for this loss. Aaron Brooks tore us up, surprise surprise. We really gotta do something about that PG position. Fish is a fossil, Farmar sucks, and Shannon Brown never gets playing time. Lakers and Eagles lost today FML
In general, I think Kobe's broken the flow of the offense a bit this year. He seems to be trying to work in the post at the expense of the rest of the guys and establishing a rhythm with them. I think it is stupid. He needs to go back to next year's mindset of knowing when to attack and when to set up.
I wonder how he will play when Pau comes back. We'll have four players (Drew, Pau, Ron, Kobe) who can post up.
Drew and Artest seem to be the two most consistent guys right now when it comes to playing with passion. Drew had another big night, but only got 12 shots. He got most of them in the first half, too.
What's keeping him off the court is Phil. And he is BY FAR the best defender out of our PG trio. I'm guessing he hasn't mastered the triangle yet, which is really the only reason I can think of. Either that or we are show casing Farmar, so he's getting more playing time. As for Fish, well just like Luke Walton, Phil feels an obligation to play him for whatever reason.
He needs to get out of the post and stick with his beautiful mid range game. Leave the post for the big mother fuckers who can dominate down there. When Kobe goes down there, he forces it. In the opening minutes, he missed a few shots down there and got blocked by the rim on one. Get out of the post. Leave it to Drew. Only go to the post if Drew is having a bad game or if you have a major mismatch.
Fish was 3-13, Bynum was 8-12. Anyone see the problem here? Too bad Fish is a vet and so "respected", otherwise his ass would've been chewed the fuck up. There's absolutely no reason why Fish should be taking more shots than Drew, especially when he shot only 23% from the field. While allowing Brooks to tear him a new one on defense.
