Why couldn't they have made it so that if they give me money they get into heaven and get 72 virgins instead. That way nobody gets killed, and I get rich over some stupid religious bullshit.
We are lucky that more people don't believe stuff like that. If I believed that I would get to go to heaven and have 72 HOT virgins to defile I would burn down a children's hospital if that were the requirement. Luckily, I don't believe that.

It seems pretty rare that a Muslim does that kind of thing in the US doesn't it? Extremely rare. As to suicide bombers... that is an interesting question... and I think a lot of it has to do with peer pressure or pressure of some type... perhaps some brainwashing... perhaps threats to harm or kill other family members... perhaps some drugs are involved... and I am sure some of it is involuntary. You'd think our leaders would spend a bit more time pondering this... you might be able to save more lives than improved body armor if you just looked at the factors behind the creation of the human bomb.
lol that would involve knowing very intricate details about an extreme part of an already very different culture, and then making policy decisions based on that knowledge. I'm not saying it's impossible, it's just easier to blow them up before they blow themselves up. Better for military industrial complex, too.
It's kind of twisted. Everyone seems to think Bin Laden did what he did for religious purposes. In fact, he only waged war on America when Saudi Arabia decided to deal with America instead of going with Bin Laden and his crew. It was a business decision in another sense. Osama has just turned it into a religious thing which has caught on for whatever reason. Pretty retarded. Religion is useless regardless. Everyone thank Jimmy Carter for opening a can of worms during the Iranian revolution.

Bin Laden urged the Saudi family to develop an army to take out Saddam on their own, but the Saudi Fam went ahead and went with the American solution. Osama was pissed at the Saudi Royal Family but they had a strangelhold on his money and him, they let him go in exchange to not attack them, knowing fully well that Osama would take it out on the U.S. It was a play for oil, that's all. Osama just legitimized it by making it about Islam, it's not even close. If the Saudi Royal Family would have gone with Bin Laden's suggestion, there would be no issue.
