It was a good road trip but we played garbage teams. If we won today's game, we could have said we were in the upper echelon of NBA teams. I don't think we can say that, even with the winning road trip against really bad teams. You guys seem to be worried about the record a lot, I'm more worried about matching up with the better teams in the league.
The Hawks are definitely one of the better teams in the league. The Blazers took them to OT in their 5th game of an Eastern road swing. That's not an easy task.
You mean that a team playing the 7th game in 5 nights that took one of the better teams in the league to overtime while playing 5 on 8 is not a good team?
I never said it was easy, and the effort was there but for me to say they are an upper echelon team, they needed to win this game.
OK, fine. You can just go on believing the Blazers are a middle-of-the-road team. No sweat off my back.
Some amazingly bad calls towards the end of that game (Blake's foot was pseudo-legit, but goaltending Rudy's three? really?)... but a 4-1 road trip even against shitty teams is nothing to sniff at. Very happy with our guys.
