It's been 3 games since they were implemented, and the Blazers failed to break 90 in 2 of those games, and only broke 90 in the other because of OT.

Our assist totals have been 14, 8, 24 (20 in regulation). We averaged 21 on the year, and averaged 24 assists in the 4 games prior to the ISO plays when Miller was put into the starting line up and was calling plays.

We have had an average of 34.6 points in the paint since the ISO's were implemented, and in the 4 games prior with Miller starting and calling plays we average 37.5. So 3 more points in the paint. That is a huge number.

We have been averaging 22.5 FTA per game with our new ISO's. We averaged 24.5 FTA per game under Miller calling the plays.

I honestly think if Nate keeps "trying to make Roy happy", and calling ISO's instead of getting out and running we will be in for an early exit from the playoffs again.

I don't know if you were watching the Atlanta game or not, but when we tried to run....boy was it ugly...

Let's not go off topic please. I am only talking about the ISO's and if you think they have worked or not

I honestly don't remember seeing many iso's for Roy. I was actually hoping for more.

(Also, if Blake was hitting WIDE OPEN THREES like he normally does, there would've been 9 more points and 3 more assists. And those were WIDE open.)

I was responding to the "getting out and running part", which isn't working.

Obviously not. Look at the SA and Minny games. It was horrible.

    Now, back on topic.

Those were two games where running actually worked, what about the other 10?

He made a deal with Oden that he gets one foul per quarter in the first half, yet he got only 8 minutes with 1 foul. This was during Portland's hot outside shooting, which would have really opened the game up for him in the post.

I see the point, but 6 games in 8 nights with 5 of those on the road will cause even the best conditioned athletes to lose a step. Just seems like to small of a sample size to suggest that what Nate and the Blazers are attemtpting to do isn't working.

Blake is a career 41% 3 point shooter. Last year's 43% isn't an outlier stat like this year's 35%... reverting to the mean is what to expect from most any healthy player in the prime of their career.

I don't blame it on the ISO's. I blame it on the Blazers style of play. It seems a lot of folks are having problems coming to terms that the Blazers identity is like the early 90's Knicks. Not a lot of scoring, not a lot of posessions. Run only when you have an easy opportunity. It has nothing to do with Roys ISO's. What it does have to do with is shooting percentage. The Blazers would be scoring many more points if guys would nut up and hit their open shots.

The whole team is ice cold. I don't know what happened, but we can't hit a shot to save our lives right now. We could have blown Atlanta out if we could have actually hit a shot last night.

There's nothing wrong with Nate's offense, including the isolation plays for Roy that are used at some times (primarily 4th quarter). The offense was working as designed last night, producing wide-open looks on the perimeter when Roy was cut off on his drives. Blake's just in a monumental shooting slump, otherwise the Blazers win that game and we're sitting here basking in the glow of winning all five games on this road trip...well, most of us at least.

The Blazers have played more games than any other team in the league so far this season. Tired legs are going to take a toll on outside shooting. Blake will break out of his slump and all will be right in Blazerville. No need to dump the system just because of a few bumps on the road.

You have got it. The flat out facts are that guys are not nutting up and hitting open shots. For some of the guys, it seems to be the story of their career. The question is, how many years does it take for KP to figure it out?

I bet Atlanta fans are super pissed off today at all the ISOs they ran for Joe Johnson in the 4th quarter and OT. What a lame offense. Just hand it to the star and let him go. LAME.
