Looks like there won't be anymore tickets left at the box office for Elvis.

I like Glanville. Sorry to see him go. It will be interesting to see who they can find to replace him.

I don't know if Glanville is a good coach, but he didn't do much for PSU while he was here,

Originally I thought Glanville was using PSu as a stepping stone. Take some little college football program, use your name to bring in a couple of ringers and dominate a weak league. Reciepe for an opportunity with a big time program (coaching an overachieving small football program).

Instead, he can't turn the program around and gets canned. Ouch

I don't think he had anything left in the tank and was looking for a paycheck for a few more years.

    It didn't work.

    Time to move on.

I had a feeling this would happen when Mouse Davis quit last summer.

Being a college coach takes a lot of energy. With recruiting, spring practices, training programs, etc., it's become a year 'round job. I just don't think Jerry had the energy for it anymore.

He never changed his system. He never tried going with 4 wide receivers in game sets, etc. He sucked with creativity and stuck with the same strategy every year. I'm glad that he got canned. The last loss losing 34-41 against Idaho State (1-10 overall) sealed the deal. I bet there was lots of pressure from the Alumni. Yeah a 9-24 record overall with PSU. Thats a real winner. He sucks period..

Jerry Glanville and Mouse Davis tried to implement new offensive and defensive systems without adequate personnel to succeed.

I was hoping Glanville's name might have brought some good prospects to PSU . . . guess not.
