seriously, why are you so scared? Brandon is less then an inch shorter then Martell and every bit as sturdy... hell do you think Batum is thicker then Roy?

get a grip on your panic attacks, they're ridiculous

The difference is Webster isn't our franchise player, Roy is. I think the fear is to lose him to some injury. It wouldn't hit us as hard if Webster got injured.

It's part of the master plan to get John Wall and a way for KP to show you some love. They know how much you love to whine - and that's their way of repaying you for devotion as a fan.

injury is always a risk for every player. Claiming Roy playing SF raises that risk is very debatable. Saying injury is inevitable in this situation is posters wetting their pants.

it seems every day Martell's biggest supporters here concoct some new reason he just has to play...

Sure it's always a risk and I think we can debate that playing SF may increase that risk. I never saw Roy this tired before and the Blazers had 5 games in 7 days before. I remember the beginning of last season was very difficult, yet Roy had energy to push through it all.

Aha. Seemed out of character for you. I can't believe I missed the sarcasm.

I'm not saying that Roy is at a greater risk for injury. I am 100% certain, however, that having him consistently defend taller and stronger players will wear him out faster than defending similar sized (or smaller) SGs. I don't understand the logic of taking a physically imposing SG and making him into one of the smaller SFs in the NBA.

 But...but...I'm a Webster basher who still thinks playing Roy out of position is a bad idea. I'm so confused! :NOTMARIS:

ha! I'm not saying it's optimal and I only wish Portland had a better option, but when isn't that the case?

if (and only if) the right deal comes along you take it, but I really don't want to pump up present needs of the club at the expense of the big picture. Pritchard has time on his side in choosing how he wants to mold the club and a schedule filled with patsies in the immediate future. With his new contract in hand Brandon can suck it up and do whats best for the team no matter what that may entail. Ideally Martell will step up his play against the forthcoming patsies, build some confidence and fill the club's wing need, but if not the team will survive the season... probably

Can't spell RAMBO by starting Miller, Roy, Rudy, LMA and Oden. Comes out sounding like Scooby Doo is picking our starters, "RAMRO!"

It wasn't sarcasm in any manner. It was a purposeful and direct attack pointed in my direction, which I've taken complete and utter umbrage towards. Furthermore, if it continues, I'll have no other option than to take up my cause with any given mod.
