OK, it is still real early, but let's hear some predictions.

Every season, at least one team that was expected to languish in mediocrity winds up making a serious run. Conversely, there always seems to be one "bandwagon" team that winds up being a huge disappointment.

What are your best guesses? I'll say the Rockets will be better than most folks projected. On the flip side, it looks like the Blazers are headed to crash-and-burn city. (5 games into the season, they have already quit, and are playing to get their coach fired)

It's still early, but New Orleans has been disappointing. They still haven't figured out how to win on the road.

The Heat are doing better than I expected.

The Celtics. Their record doesn't surprise me, but the ferocity of their D does. It's crazy how much of a difference Garnett makes on D, together with the seamless transition of Daniels and Rasheed, the Celts are crazy.

LMAO! Already quit? Playing to get their coach fired? Blazers: 6 game win streak. 5-1 on the road. Leading the NW division.

The surprise teams are the Bucks and Kings.

And the Blazers have the exact same record.

Sacramento is a surprise, in large part because they're doing a lot of this without Kevin Martin

The Thunder have surprised me to an extent, but I think think they have the talent to make a run at the 8th seed.

The Heat have also surprised me. If they keep this up, DWade will get that MVP that I thought he deserved last year.

No kidding Huevon. I thought the kid would be good, but damn, he's been hands down the best rookie of this class so far. He's averaging 25/5/5 and dropped 55 last night. Talk about impressive. Whether or not he can keep it up will be determined, and I'm still worried about his frail frame, but he's shown an ability to get to the hoop and a very good jump shot so far, so I don't know how much he slows down. I don't think he'll keep that 25ppg average this season, but he could keep it right around 20.

When he came into this season I thought this is another spoiled-talent like Steve Francis due to his "turn my swag on" video and his BS he talked about Knicks and etc. Although he proved me wrong - just games into this season and he scored 55, runs the game like a true PG and at the same time when all the hype surrounds him, he is focusing on the future, lives in an apartment and doesen't live his life like he's a superstar already.

    PROPS.

Back to topic, Thunder has suprised me. It's good to see that they take advantage of their talent and have their game together. And they still have room to develop....

Suns have also suprised, who I thought would be worse this season, but this run-n-gun style suits them and puts them into a great playoff position, though they won't win a championship

Sacramento. I thought they would be the one of the worst, if not the worst team in the league. But I'm impressed with how they well they have played, Evans and Thompson in particular.

OKC is playing much better than I anticipated. I thought defense would be a major issue for them. So far this season they are playing solid defense and have beat some solid teams (Orlando and Miami).

OKC defensive intensity and effort has been great.

Also, I'd like to note that Kevin Durant has been a great leader, saying all the right things then going out and actually trying to lead by example. Just great.

Westbrook has gotten better, playing cleaner.

Harden has been solid. Not doing too much, and he doesn't need to. Playing under control, I love it.

Jeff Green, is sooooo underrated. Just a great player.

To think this entire team is young and can STILL get better. Amazing.

OKC looks to be one quality post player away from making some serious noise.

And I believe they have cap space this summer to go after a big time player.
