will go to Miami to play along side Wade. Miami will have enough cap room to offer 20 mil per season, even resigning Wade. And a Wade, LJ and Beasly combo is pretty wicked too. I say they run the East and will be Blazer finals rivals for at least 5-6 years.

I hope he stays in Cleveland or goes to Miami just to watch the NY Media and their fans totally freak out.

That would be pretty cool to see. I would play Bron at 4 and Beasley at 3.

    Chalmers
    Wade
    Beasley
    Bron
    O'Neal or whoever

That is a pretty bad ass lineup! As long as Beasley stays off the pipe.

What the hell is NY going to do when they don't get Wade, LBJ, or Bosh?

I guess they could sign Joe Johnson if he wants to leave Atlanta, but I doubt he does.

I will laugh at Stern for an entire season. You know he wants LJ in New York as badly as he wants to be inches taller.

Yeah but it makes no sense. Even with LeBron, that team is fucking terrible. If they had been able to add LeBron AND Wade, maybe then.... but not just LeBron.

I think Stern would compromise the rules just to massage some more talent around LJ. Maybe somehow increase it to get LJ and Bosh or wade to come to NewYork. HAHAHAHHA

Assuming it's all about the rings, Miami would have enough under the cap to sign both Lebron and Bosh

    Chalmers
    Wade
    James
    Beasley
    Bosh

They might, but at least 2 of them would have to accept a below max deal, and Beasley would probably need to be sign and traded (not that they would miss him much in a scenario like this).

If this happens, our minidynasty hopes are fucked. Even a team with Wade, Lebron and Beasley plus role players is finals material... can you think how many FTs Wade+Lebron would get? We need to be rooting hard for the 2010 free agents not to go to the same team.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I can see New York signing Rudy Gay to a big contract if they swing and miss on the James/Wade/Bosh/Stoudemire class. I think they might see Gay as a young developing star that they could market.

It would be a big mistake, but the Knicks aren't shy about making big mistakes. ;)

If James wants to play with Wade, and Wade likes Miami, then it's a no-brainer to stay in Florida. Not only is there the construct of the team, but there are also major tax implications for living in NYC over living in Florida.

Residents of NYC now pay the highest state and local income tax rates in the country. In Miami, there are no state or local income taxes. If James gets $20/million per, with a state tax rate of 8.97% for those making over $500k, let's take a look at what $20 million/per really becomes.

Here is the same calculation for playing in Miami.

James loses over $3 million/year simply by playing for the Knicks over playing for the Heat. :dunno:

Florida is a great place to live for tax purposes.

I know here in Texas, I brought home an extra $1000.00 per month than I did in Oregon on the same salary.

Did you also know that they will not regulate "child support" there? That means, let's say you have a 1,200 per month child support payment, them you move to Florida. Your ex-whatever tries to take you to court for back payment. They cannot force you to pay, as long as you live in Florida, since Florida will not regulate it. But the minute you move away, you get the gavel!
