And BEST defensive SF in the league? Are they role players or high dollar studs? I'm asking because I haven't been watching anything but Blazers this season (My new tradition). So far, I've only seen Wallace and Battier at SF. I think Brooks was the only defensive PG that looked good against us.

    Probably Rondo or Paul.

Okay maybe the better question is obtainable PGs and SFs. LOL

Paul gets raped by Deron Williams and Chauncey Billups regularly. Steals don't equal defense. Hes not terrible on D but he gets way too much credit.

Kyle Lowry and Kirk Hinrich are both great defenders. Hinrich has shown he can do great work on guys like Pierce and Wade in the playoffs too. As for SFs I'd say Battier is probably at the top right now.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Rondo is the best defensive point guard, IMO. Hinrich is probably the best potentially attainable one. I do like Kyle Lowry, though.

I don't think there's any clear cut best defensive small forward. Prince and Battier have declined. Artest is good but has also declined. Ariza is very good.

Remember when Lowry was still in Memphis? Somebody - I don't recall who - suggested the Blazers go after him while his stock was low. The poor guy got roasted for the suggestion.

Whoever you were, a lot of people owe you an apology!

I got roasted for wanting that deal in O-live. But it wasn't me since I haven't posted in here back then. I think it was Sergio + Jack and second rounder for Lowry.

Though he plays shooting guard for the Thunder, Sefolosha is the best young defender at the small forward.

At point guard Hinrich, though he is probably not attainable right now due to the ankle problems Rose is currently having.

    Really?

That isn't much to give up. Worst case scenario you are trading crap for crap.

I would have done the deal just to get Jack off the team.

Trust me, this love you see with Blake was even more so for Sergio and Jack. Everyone hated blake back then and loved Jack and Sergio.

I know I wanted him at one point, but I'm not sure I can claim credit for the idea ... If memory serves, I think I might have been the one to say something, but I don't remember a roasting, just a lot of "fuck no, he's a bad player on a bad team" kinds of responses.
