Steve Flake wasn't all that bad tonight but I'm pretty sure he'll regress to his status quo mediocrity.
The Blazers are more efficient on D, and allow the lowest opposing FG% in the league right now. So, not really.
It seems to me that this thread has more to do with the last 13 games than with his entire body of work. I'm optimistic that he can work it out.
Trouble is: Playless cannot handle the basketball! Watch him as he looses his dribble nearly every time! It is scary - I wait in anticipation for him to a) stare at the ball as he tries to dribble it; b) wait for him to put is head down and drive (probably closes his eyes and dreams of the big dunk he's gonna attempt); c) acts like he's calling a play....then fails to pass the ball around the horn and get some ball movement generated; d) dribbles off his knee into the oposing player's hands.......and this is just his offensive game! Defense: a) defense? Sorry Playless lovers: Move Him! Webs + Playless + Pick for ANYONE!?!?
You know zero about the game of basketball. In the game against Atlanta, Blake had 2 turnovers, yes. TWO turnovers. But that wasn't ALL he brought. He also brought EIGHT POINTS and ELEVEN ASSISTS. Tonight, he gave us superb shooting and clutch heroics. 15 points on 5-10 FG shooting is hardly nothing. Learn the game, then post. Please. I can't even believe I responded to your post. I'm glad you have found such a nice guy to have a man crush on. I watched the Atlanta game and could care less about what Blake did because we lost! He is an average player who will NEVER be a major contributor on a championship team. If you think he will, you’re lying to yourself! Feel free to question my Basketball IQ but I have been a fan my entire life, played in High School and JC, and don't need to take personal attacks at people in cyber space to state my opinion. Blake might be the second best PG on the team right now but he is shit and needs to go. As for your other question, "who", I've already posted in another thread my desire to ship him, Outlaw, and Rudy for Caron Butler.
So what you want to trade him for Chris Paul? First that won't work, which most people know, but he is the perfect role and team player. We are 9-4 with him as a starter, I don't see a problem with that.
This post made me think that Blake was a superstar. We lost a good portion of our lead until Blake came in with his superman cape to carry us home! BLAKE FOR PRESIDENT.
Please in the name of decency stop posting this ridiculous phrase. There are a couple of people on the board who know a great deal about basketball. But only a couple. And you most certainly aren't one of them. Neither am I for that matter. The rest of us muddle along with opinions based on half baked stats and moments in the game.
