Wow just wow.I was watching NBA shootaround tonight and Ron Artest said the Kings will win the NBA championship.Thoughts on this crazy statement?
Quite a stupid comment for an 8th seeded team.But I bet he isn't serious. He's just trying to get his team pumped for their death sentence against the Spurs.
It isn't that crazy of a statement. If they had Artest from the begginign they would've been the #5 seed, maybe even #2. They have a great team there right now and I wouldn't be too surprised to see them upset the Spurs in the first round.
Yeah, their definately a team that could be in contention next season. Expecially now that they'll have a decent draft pick too. They should be the 5th seed next season. They have a very good offense. Each of their starters are capable of 15 ppg.

lol I remember GoLashes or whatever, on the old BBW predicted that the Kings would be champions. And that was even before they got Artest lol.I guess he was right! Props to him.

Well I think the Kings will do very, very well. They will surprise a lot of people. I think Artest is just using this as motivation for himself.

I think it would be crazy if they beat the Spurs. That would deffinately change the brackets and make them alot more interesting.

I dont mind that he says that - he is a nut, but he is only doing this to motivate himself and his teamates.
Ron Artest is an idiot, but most people thought the same thing when he said theyd make the playoffs (I thought they would after they acquired him)..I dont see them beating San Antonio, Dallas, Phoenix and Detroit, though..That could be their road to the trophy, probably the toughest of any team..
I saw this as well and it doesn't bother me, least he has confidence. What do you want him to say, hey were going out in the first round, cheers!
