To the Left, a "grassroots movement" is a wonderful thing as long as it's done to advance civil rights, protest global warming, or protect abortion. If it's undertaken against a Democratic president who is trying to create a new socialist order, however, it's a horrible thing being carried out by stupid, ignorant people. See how it works?
I must not have gotten enough public education, because I don't understand what you are trying to say. Education is politics? We shouldn't pick on Palin because she went to public schools? Something else? barfo
Yes. Public education is a world where the dumb get promoted because it would just be too painful to hold them back. Everybody's a winner, don't you know!!!
I believe it's about how there are no "losers" in some sports associated with public schooling, when kids are like in the 2nd grade or younger are just awarded for trying. Obviously it extrapolates to every public school in the country having that as their m.o., in how they educate every student in school.
Seems like a bit of a non-sequitur, since we were talking about politics. If you want to go that far off topic, you could point out the Special Olympics, too. barfo
I saw her interview on Oprah. It never occurred to me that she was offended by Couric's question about what she reads. She said she took it as an insult, as in "you're stupid, can you even read?"
You believe that, or do you think she was confused as to what to say, like, if she said The New York Times then maybe she'd lose street cred with the reds? Or maybe Couric would follow up by asking who her favourite columnist was and she wouldn't be able to answer that so she just panicked. Her response was terror not indignity, that's just the way she played if off afterward to save face. IMHO.
I actually see her point. Did she come across with Oprah as being president material? No. She demonstrates expertise at energy related matters and talking about her family.
why shouldn't Americans be afraid of having an idiot in charge? I realize some of are very interested in who is attractive looking, but I'd rather have the smart people calling the shots. STOMP
She said on Hannity that she's not interested in running the country. She's more interested in helping support others from the wings.
