The way he's playing I don't see why Chicago would want to deal him now.

When Deng plays PF he has a PER of 29.9 while the opposing PF's have a PER of 12.7

If he can stay healthy he'd be a perfect fit next to Roy. But, I think we missed the boat when he was available last season.

Obviously Gerald Wallace or Caron Butler would be awesome, but I'm not convinced we could get them. Supposedly Rudy Gay could be had, but he doesn't seem like the right fit. I kind of like the idea of adding Corey Maggette.

Actually we are the best defensive team WITHOUT him, so maybe I'll take Rudy Gay.

NO on Maggette. He's a one dimensional scorer and has seemed to regress every year.

Maggette is a black hole on offense and has $30m (or is it $40m?) on his deal. I'd easily pass on him.

This is more of getting out from his contract, how does this grab you?

    To Bucks:
    Martell Webster
    draft pick (if needed)

    To Blazers
    Joe Alexander (UFA this summer)
    Francisco Elson (exp. contract)

I was in forum rehab. Now I am all better.

No to Maggette. I wouldn't mind the Bucks deal to clear up some room, but not play either of those dudes. I like the idea of Gay too. I think he would fit in fine with our team. We need more scoring, not defense.

I read that Grizz are not too happy with Conley either. I wonder if we could swing a deal to get Mike and Rudy.

Joe Alexander has shown nothing, worse than Webs and is injured I believe - makes NO sense, we need an upgrade, not sideways or a downgrade or a project. Salmons actually is not a bad idea, he's had a slow starg and Chi may want to cut salary in case he doe not opt out and he only has next year left if he does not opt out. For him though no way I give up Rudy, Outlaw and change for Salmons?

My apologies. I meant I had zero intentions of playing any of the said Bucks players. Just give our better guys more PT and let them expire.

But I would still want Deng, not any Bucks players. Unless Jennings wanted to come over.

I'll tell you who I want, I want to trade for James Jones. He's getting absolutely no burn in Miami, but he's healthy this year, he's a vet, he knows how to play a role (coffin corner three point shooter) and would probably be fine going to a bench role if/when Nic is ready to return to the team and he's got team options on his contract for the next three years. I say give em Martell in a straight swap and see where it takes you.

Doubt they do that, though. Too much salary added on with Martell. But if they have no use for an actual player, a straight swap with Outlaw might work.

Either way I'd do it, or maybe give them Mills or offer the rights to Claver. I just think it's increasingly likely that waiting for Martell to "bust out" and have that elusive career year might be a long shot at this point.

The only problem there is that Joe Alexander sucks.

I think Caron is in a similar position to Deng last year. Buy low.
