Just as I was about say that it doesn't look like the bulls are going to be able to handle the Lakers length, Noah leads a break and Artest starts shooting. Artest could keep the bulls in it.
Down 45-33 with 3 1/2 minutes left. Anyone else get the feeling that Rose (yes, he's injured, i know) and Salmons just doesn't work. I feel like he's just taking a step back when he's with Salmons and taking a backseat. I wanna see the same D. Rose that took control of the team last year!
Salmons essentially carrying this team. When watching this game, its pretty evidet that the Bulls need one more big body if they ever want to compete with the likes of the Lakers. Bulls down by 9 at half.
Salmons completely fell apart again in the 2nd half. He has a tendency to do that it seems. This game was really a win/win for me though, these are my two favorite teams going at it.
- Jesus, Rose really needs to stop being a pussy and man up when the game is still relevant. Great way to finish the game, but uhhhh....no one cared about that. - I'd like for us to give James Johnson more minutes. I understand he's having a hard time adjusting, but maybe if sees more minutes, he'll get ahead of the learning curve?
James Johnson, I think needs to go to the NBDL. He's a great prospect but needs PT to reach that potential. He's not going to get much of it this season in the NBA.
Yea i agree with you Mook. I think he's good enough to be on the bulls right now but not good enough to get good minutes. Hes not getting better by being on the bench so why not send him down
The Lakes may be one of the better teams there has been in the last few years by the time the playoffs role around and they begin to gel. Bryant, Artest, Gasol, Odom, Bynum . . . that's a team that's strong on both sides of the court.
Kind of injury prone it looks like. I wonder if they'll get the chance to stick together? I don't think they can DL JJ because they need the depth. My observation over the past couple weeks is that Vinnie especially doesn't like to play a deep rotation. He'd be fine with just playing 8 guys all the time. If they could bump JJ up to a consistent 12-15 minutes instead of a consistent 4-10 it's probably be manageable.
Artest is a particularly bad matchup for Deng and the bulls really need the stars to align correctly to beat the lakers. On the plus side they should be rested for a Denver team that traveled last night and played big minutes in a loss. Seems like a winnable game for the bulls especially given how they played last time.
