I fucking HATE planted fans. So lame. Some fucking planted marketing intern with the team thinks its a good idea to hire some stupid, over-reacting fake fan to stimulate a crowd reaction. They did this in the playoffs for the dodgers too, this little annoying kid who would lip sync to Journey.
Yes. Totally noticed that. My buddy and I were disgusted by the whole thing. The wave, last year, was "keeping portland weird," and it was almost a tongue in cheek kind of spontaneous event that was funny and temporarily unique. Now, it makes us look small town and stupid. And most embarrassing because the game wasn't over, and it was against an inferior opponent. Please, for those of you that go to games, do your part to squash the wave. It starts, from what I can tell, kitty corner to the Blazers bench in the 300 level. Or just behind the Blazers bench in the 300 level.
trust me i hate the damn thing and tell everyone in earshot of my seat (sec 301) to sit down and watch the damn game. i was there last year against SA when we were KILLING them and thought it was kinda cool. it was a mocking thing of, the game is done but we're going to sit here and entertain ourselves since the vistors couldn't get it done. now it's lame and needs to go. that's the problem with the 300 level, you get some real diehards that are into the game yelling and screaming but you also get the tards, kids and wives that are more interested in the wave than the game.
