He's fouling too much. Beyond that, he's still not doing any worse than Dwight Howard did at the same experience level. So, yes, he needs to fix the foul rate. Other than that, his play is perfectly consistent with the talent level he was said to have when drafted.
If you look closely at the photograph of Shaun Powell, you can actually see where they Photoshopped out the lobotomy scars.
I found it kind of funny that the highlights video on the same page has LMA working hard for a basket in the paint as the very first play.
I think people expected so much from him by now but they just don't realize that he was out a full year and what only 21? Patience...
I think G.O. is doing just fine. He completely disrupts the opponent's inside game which is what I expect from him.
Greg Oden is 1st in the league in defensive rating. 4th in defensive win shares. Top 8 in both offensive and defensive rebounding percentage. 1st in the league in overall rebound rating. He's the best shot blocker in the league per minute. He's 4th in the NBA in fg%. I'd say he's doing exactly what we hired him to do and he's doing it at an outstanding rate. If anyone expected him to be an offensive juggernaut at this point in his career, they were deluding themselves. http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/o/odengr01.html
