That Brandon Roy wont make the all-star team this year.

I wonder when KP will realize that Brandon is NOT a SF. He's not excelling at all playing the three and defending the bigger players is taking a toll on him.

When you look at our depth at SF you can understand why Roy is there but trading for a real SF has to happen.

The Blazers have Webster and Cunningham to play at the 3. Nate chooses not to use them.

Webster has regressed. Even before he got injured he was a backup at best.

Cunningham is not ready at all.

If we have to rely on those two we wont make it that far in the playoffs.

He doesn't deserve to make the all-star team based on his play alone. He HAS made two a-s games in a row, and he IS the best player on one of the best teams in the West, so he probably will make it.

Also, he should start playing better. Hopefully Nate gets Blake out of the lineup and Roy can go back to his natural position.

realize that the Warriors started Anthony Morrow at SF tonight. Roy is taller, longer, and heavier then AM who is not very athletic either.

At this point, it doesn't look like any of our guys will get into the All-Star game. Roy barely beat out Deron Williams last year I think, but right now, Williams is playing much better.

He'll make it based on the team if the team is doing well.

Roy hasn't played like an All Star this year - that simple. 9 out of the last 11 games he's been held to 20 pts or less. He didn't have an 11 game stretch like that ALL of last season. His shooting % is way down. He doesn't look as explosive. He has trouble handling the ball some nights. I don't know who this guy is I'm watching. It's not 2008-9 Brandon Roy. That guy was great. It's hard to believe he hasn't dropped 30 since October 31st. He didn't play well in the preseason either. I don't know if he's unhappy with something, or if he sat on his ass all summer (as some have suggested), or if he's playing hurt, or what. I know he's expending more energy guarding SF's, but geez people . . . who's he had to guard recently? Morrow? Charlie V? Marvin Williams? I'll give you Gerald Wallace - that's a tough match-up. But Peja? Corey Brewer? Not exactly super physical guys. Besides, in the two games prior to going with the "3 guard", he had 16 and 19 (13-36 FG) He just hasn't looked anywhere near as crisp & explosive to me all season. He looks very . . . guardable.

Brandon got severly outplayed by Ellis tonight. Ellis' D bothered Roy more than a bit, it seemed. He couldn't get around the quicker Ellis, and he didn't seem like he could out power or out-maneuver Ellis in the post. Overall, Roy seemed lethargic and slow, while Ellis was zipping around the court, getting steals and blocks.

Would you ever guess in a million years that we would be talking about Monte Ellis shutting down Brandon Roy? Unreal.

Melo didn't make the All Star team last season and he'll make it this year. And Deron Williams has never made it. Roy has to play better than this if he wants to make the team again.

Roy is out of position and he looks pretty whupped to me. He's expending a lot more energy on D and if you look at his shooting tendencies he's taking way more jump shots than he did last year ... it's almost like he never drives the lane anymore.

Frankly I couldn't care less about all-star games, there are far bigger and more important ramifications for Roy having a down year.

    This.

The Roy as a small forward experiment is a complete failure.

He looks terrible on the floor.

Hell, he spent the off season loosing muscle mass so he could play quicker. He would have been much more capable of play SF last season when he was 15 pounds heavier/stronger.

Injury problems are the cause, but the team needs to get someone who is halfway worth a shit to take over that position.

KP needs to do something he has never done before. Make a major move during the season.

Of course that isn't actually going to happen but I like to delude myself from time to time.

Roy needs to learn how to dribble the fucking ball and stop looking for the refs to bail him out every time he's lost on what to do with it.

He's not even close to being an allstar this year. Hell.... he's not even the leading scorer on our team most nights!!!!

B Roy is the highest paid player and hub of this team, he needs to be earning those pay checks. 18-20ppg is what you pay a player who's a second option! He needs to get his shit together in a hurry!!!!

My feeling is B Roy is to slow of a player for the speed our teams needs to be moving. I trade him right now for Wade and don't look back! Miller, Wade, Oden and LA would be high flying and very effective! That's a team that wins a championship!

Meh. Wade is a UFA this summer. No way do you take that chance.

The only player I'd look at is Chris Paul.

To be honest, I don't think Roy should have been an All-Star ever. Not ahead of Deron Williams. Can you believe that Williams has never been an All-Star?

Williams will be an All Star. Listen, Brandon deserved to be an All Star last year. He carried this team through so many 4th quarters. Big shot and big shot.
