I never thought I'd say this.... but I miss Frye. Howard is a joke.

did you watch the NO game? his shot wasn't falling and he looked like his old useless lost self out there, really hurting the team on D. in fact got yanked in the 2nd half and didn't play at all in the 4th Q in favor of dudley.

Indeed. ANY player that hits about 50% of his three pointers in a game is going to be potentially useful... it's when he isn't hitting (and, of course, not doing much of anything else) that he's worthless.

I wish we had Frye too. If we had him, we would've won the game in GS. It sucks, we've lost a THIRD of the team that won 54 games last season.

Joel/Frye is way better than Joel/Howard. We lost the game because of that stretch of Joel/Howard in the second quarter.

I would take Ike Diogu over Howard and Frye right about now.

After watching tonight's game in person, I almost get the impression that Dante Cunningham is in fact a legitimate NBA player ... Juwan Howard is in fact not.

    My adjusted +/- Bottom 10

Based on past four seasons of data unweighted. Player must have 2000+ minutes.

    Code:
    [b]Player Name	Rating	O-Rat	D-Rat	StdErr	+/- Per 48[/b]
    Powell, Josh	-13.1	-5.6	+7.5	2.8	-10.5
    McGuire, Dom	-9.7	-4.5	+5.2	3.1	-9.7
    McInnis, Jeff	-9.7	-3.0	+6.7	2.9	-9.2
    Ivey, Royal	-9.3	-3.5	+5.8	2.5	-8.2
    Rodriguez, Serg	-9.1	-4.2	+4.9	3.1	-3.5
    Bass, Brandon	-8.1	-3.6	+4.5	2.8	-0.3
    Wright, Antoine	-7.7	-5.3	+2.4	2.4	-4.3
    Thornton, Al	-7.6	-1.3	+6.3	2.6	-9.5
    Wright, Dorell	-7.5	-5.8	+1.7	2.9	-7.2
    [COLOR="red"]Howard, Juwan	-7.4	-3.8	+3.6	2.5	-2.8[/COLOR]
    Postive defensive rating is bad.

Juwan Howard isn't the Juwan Howard of four years ago. He's an old washed up veteran who can barely play.

Even if we forget the fact that he stinks on the court, the team is much better off playing a young draftee who could develop into a good role player.

Yep--I've become convinced that Howard is not worth anything on the court. DC should be receiving all backup 4 minutes.
