I don't remember anyone delivering ice, but I do recall HCP's wife delivering me some sandwiches last night.

In the game thread for the Timberwolves there were 149 posts while the game was still active. Of those 149 posts one poster accounted for 53 posts. In case you're not counting that is 36% of all posts by one poster. Of those 53 posts during the game one single player was brought up 36 times. So out of 53 posts from one individual 36 were about one player, or 68%. Wow! But it gets even more impressive when you break it down.

Out of this poster's first 12 posts in the game thread only 1 post was about this certain player. That's only 8%, such restraint. However out of his final 40 posts an astounding 35 were about this single player, that is a mind blowing 88% of his posts.

Anyway, what do you think of having an obsession with certain players and who are your obsessions on this team?

The raised expectations have made for a dissatisfying season for many. As for me, basketball is a pleasant diversion from the stresses of life. I like rooting for the Blazers, whether they're good or bad. I actually had fun while they were rebuilding, because there were so many ways the team could improve. Now, they have to start producing, and that makes for boring posting.

Everyone needs a break now and again. I hope you enjoy watching the Blazers without the stress of the complaining on S2. I also hope when you have recharged your batteries you return to the site.

    and Go Blazers!

I am gonna play op's advocate. There is a pattern of negativity and disrespect on this board. I don't see the same in other boards on this site. When I saw a thread title personally attack another and it was allowed, I knew someone would start this thread. I don't agree mods are posters before responsiblity - thats pretty much is a catch all to allow anything. If one person has the balls to start this thread, I am certain there are many others that feel the same. Pretty contridictory to say you feel bad when any poster decides to leave then cut him up. The mods allow it and this place will be less enjoyable for it. It's too bad those that run this site apparently don't understand what is heathy debate and what isn't. I am also certain there are many lurkers that could be excellent contributing members if it were not for the intimidating negativity. Who wants to be subjected to that?

We're always open to suggestions on how to improve things. Short of banning people for saying unpopular things... If you want to PM me your suggestions, that's fine.

We'll be upgrading to vb 4.0 publishing suite when it's out of beta testing. It will allow people to have their own blogs. I will have to double check on it, but I think the bloggers get to moderate the comments on their own blogs. If people like chris (and maybe yourself) want to produce quality content and comments to go along with it, this may be a solution.

You know there are times when it is good to step away from the board, and take a break. Even if it is not permanent. If you are taking stuff too seriously when folks are just jerking your chain, or getting sucked into depressing views of the team, then step back, take a break. It probably means you have been surfing it way too much anyhow. :sherlock:
