I'm to lazy to find a video of last years game but I was there and the Ducks waxed you guys. It is going to be epic and I will be at the game. I do think it is going to be great for both programs though just better for the Ducks.

I can't really disagree with this. Unless they play out of their asses, I just don't see how the Beavers can beat the Ducks in Autzen this year.

Last year the Beavers were primed for a bad game. They lost their QB and Quizz was out, and were a shadow of the team previously.

I hope they are motivated to not only get revenge because of last years embarrassment, but going to the Rose Bowl after beating the Ducks in Eugene, but I just don't see it.

Of course, I suck at picking who wins and doesn't.

Hear hear! I'll be rooting for da Ducks, but no matter what the outcome of the Civil War, this year has to be considered a huge triumph for Oregon football.

As a subnote, I think today's Arizona game aged me by several years, at least. Sweet merciful crap.

one of the most exciting games I've ever seen. Great play from both teams... my phone rang non-stop postgame

There were some amazingly stupid calls too. I don't get how they penalized Ward for flexing after a big hit as guys gesticulate after every single play. And what was up with the personal foul (facemask) on Will Tukuafu? Both of those calls prolonged drives that ended up in TDs, they also made the victory that much sweeter. I also liked watching the students who'd left the stands to be ready to storm the field tuck their tails and sulk home. Of course some bitter A-holes ended up doing worse

Great day, great game, and a great season for the state of Oregon. Who would've EVER thought we'd be here after the first couple weeks of the season?! I mean for Oregon, you had the DISASTER at Boise State, then you just barely beat an average at best Purdue team. For the Beavs, you lost back to back home games to Cincinatti and Arizona after just barely squeaking by UNLV. Now those days are all but forgotten.

I'd also like to take a brief moment to extend a sincere, heartfelt LOL toward John Canzano, who early on said he couldn't find 5 wins for the Ducks and that the Beavs would never have success with Sean Canfield. Yeah, great calls on both there hotshot...:biglaugh:

Should be an epic game. For those planning on attending, I hope you have your tickets already- I see tix going for 300, 400, even 600 bucks a pop. Yikes.

dude i camped outside for a full day last year for tickets on the 40 yard line and then I waited outside Reser for 2 fucking hours before the game so I could save seats in the first row. Such a waste of time :sigh:

Overall i'd say Oregon. I think they recruit better athletes/players. The recruit for speed (which is why Stanford just owned us).

I think OS has it at the WR position, and its either a tie or OS is a little faster with Quizz over LMJ (pretty close).

But of course Oregon has it at QB. I also think our defense is quite a bit faster.

Hey Duck and Beaver fans -- can we all agree not to be A-holes after the game?? I would hate to see any Beaver fans return in kind after we kick the crap out of the Ducks!

I'm not going to pretend that there aren't A-holes in Eugene or everywhere else, but I'd hope that an incident like this would cause some others to grow a pair and police their own. Then again, by Bellotti's description many objects were raining down on the Oregon team/contingent as they were leaving the field which implies that many "fans" were chucking stuff, so maybe it's beyond that :dunno: Reading the comments in the Arizona news accounts, it seems that throwing all sorts of stuff at the visiting team is typical behavior.

That was ridiculous for the fans to behave like that. No excuse for it whatsoever. This Civil War will be the first game I've seen in Autzen. I'll be in full-Beaver regalia so I hope Duck fans don't throw shit at me!
